Followed another reviews advice to sand the sides down a little bit and it fit perfectly after. This is how the car should have come from Mazda not the scratch prone piano black included in the high traffic area of the console. 5 stars I added more 3m double sided tape myself just to be sure it won't move in the future.

One of the first things you notice with the Mazda 3's center console is that it scratches WAY too easily. This cover solved that concern by simply covering it up with an attractive fake carbon fiber look. The fit is surprisingly exact, and the adhesive holds it down well making it look better than OEM. I just wish I had put this on before the original black plastic surface had scratched.

You can’t close the cup holder lid - but i don’t ever close it anyways. Amazing look and feel.
