This is a check valve that allows water to flow through it in only one direction. Made of high quality brass material, this check valve is durable and sturdy. It is normally used for water, nominal pressure is 232psi. DN50 standard internal female thread is great for many connections. Convenient to use and easy to install. The clapper on the checkvalve only opens about 50% and strikes the internal body of the valve. This is too restrictive and would prevent proper flow through the valve. Tried other brass checkvalve on Amazon and was same issue. Found a brass checkvalve from a local supplier that opens properly. Poor design and operation from the Amazon ones.

I purchased 4 of these valves - one in January and three this month. The one from January has worked consistently for 5 months but one of the new ones broke within 3 hours of usage. So far the other two are working great. The pin holding the valve broke so it won't work.
