I have a Jean Paul ebonite clarinet and this mouthpiece seems exactly like the one that came on mine. Other than the Danchet logo, and the teeth divot on my old one, I can't tell the difference. It fits snugly on the barrel, properly fits the reed and ligature, and feels comfortable to play. It's a basic, good quality mouthpiece of thick material (plastic, acrylic?), and I highly recommend it. The piece comes nicely boxed.

It fit our Ab clarinet. I’m a musician but I am not a clarinet player. It doesn’t come with the metal attachment that holds the reeds, but you can purchase those and the reeds at most music stores. I am trying to learn woodwind so this was a good option. Even though I did not purchase it, I can still see the price. it is very affordable. I sound like a dying chicken so far, so you will have to defer to someone else with more playing expertise to tell you if this is a quality mouthpiece. Im just a percussionist with an insatiable thirst to learn as many instruments as I can.

I haven't played in years and my mouthpieces are for pro players which I used to play at that level. So picked this up as there is a difference. This is much easier to use as my muscles need to be retrained. Make sure to measure as not all mouthpieces will fit all clarinets.

I’m an elementary band teacher and was not expecting much from this, but I was pleasantly surprised. This mouthpiece is is comparable to the student model mouthpiece that I have been using that I got from my local music store. It plays well and sounds great.

This mouth piece is very similar to the one I received with my very inexpensive starter clarinet. I ordered my clarinet online, and it sounds pretty good to me, without having to really force the air or hold my embouchure in various ways until I get the right effect. This mouth piece is a good fit and works well with my 2.5 reeds and the ligature that came with my kit as well. I ordered this mouth piece because I only have one, and I am new to clarinet. I want to know how this mouth piece differs in performance to the one that came with my kit. This is an affordable price and a good value for students who need to update on a budget. There are so many mouth pieces to chose from and as I get to know more about me and the instrument, I will be able to appreciate the finer or more expensive mouth piece types for the sounds they help to produce. This mouth piece works well, and is value priced.5 stars
