As others stated, battery is dead on arrival. Unable to hold charge.I followed instructions to plug into laptop - waited until solid green bar for battery showed on the device over multiple seconds. I unplugged the mp3 player, and it immediately said "low battery" and shut off. Pressing the power button did not turn it on. Only plugging it into the laptop brings it to life.The product paperwork says the year 2012.. so, the battery likely lost its ability to hold charge somewhere between 0 and 13 years ago.

Right out of the box, product did not work.Battery did not charge after 12 hours on a charger.

There’s definitely a batch of defective units - as others have mentioned the battery doesn’t hold a charge. Kind of useless unless you want to carry an extra portable charger to keep it powered up.

This product works ONLY WHEN IT"S PLUGGED TO THR LAPTOP...as soon as you unplug it you won't be able to hear anything.... I read the bad reviews before buying it but I thought there were isolated cases....they are not....this is a scam...I don't understand why Amazon is still working with this brand after all the bad reviews....definitely I'm asking for my money back...

The battery was the problem, not the player. Would have liked for it to have worked, as It seemed like a fun product.

Both units played music well, but would not hold any charge - even after being plugged in for 3 days. When I tried to call their tech support, I received a string of sales pitches before being hung up on. Do not order this product.

Good to Excellent in Build - Moderate to High Quality in software makeup, though the applications and loading take a long time (leave the player plugged in overnight to properly charge, and hooked up for 2-3 hourres - including upload; 1-2 afterward - putting all items onto the unit in a single playlist transfer), and can, definitely, use an update, i.e. better/faster conversion; more file-type variances/structures; drag-and-drop interconnection (ex. Sony / Apple-type file arrangement), and a better variety of media player sync plugins. For the value - good to high worth - in the sense, of, overall, price versus build, though improvements should be made, to the accessibility (file organization). -1 for software +1/2 for hardware quality. Another purchase, and the review remains - 3/12-4, depending, on use - the software, more of concern, as well as minor build quality concerns (the price, definitely, compensating, for those issues).

A gift for a young grandson. He liked it and tells me it works well. It is an attractive unit and a good starter piece.
