Vinyl LP pressing. 2002 debut album from the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter. The album's critical and commercial success was a breakthrough for Jones in 2002, as it reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart and several jazz charts. The album also topped many critics' "albums of the year" lists and gathered major music awards in the process, including eight Grammy Awards. Following initial sales, Come Away with Me was certified diamond by the RIAA on February 15, 2005 having shipped over 10 million copies in its first three years of release.

Music could be great but no way for me to enjoy it in this poor sound quality. I recently ordered three albums in vinyl, Igor, Diana Krall and Norah Jones for around $90 total. None of them sounded great, Diana Krall had least issue but the other two were so terrible to keep record playing two minutes in. Sounded not clear, muffled, and shaky bass. I later found them new with tones of static, there were crazy poos when my brush went near them. I don’t know if the static or manufacturing washing process coating made them horrible, but my liner track turntable stopped by itself in the middle of playing couple times making me feel bad. Put those okd 70-&0s record on and didn’t get these symptoms to repeat. Don’t want to buy bew vinyl anymore, expensive and poor experience leavine a bad taste in the mouth.Edit: the replacement is good and made me a believer which this album is great, 5 stars. Too bad I had to go through twice to find a good copy.

I bought 5 of these; one for me and 4 as gifts. Soft, smooth jazz....and I love Norah....big fan. It doesn't get better than the track "Come Away with Me". Bedroom music, alone or with someone.

"Come Away With Me" is "our song", and I sing it to my husband all the time! I was very happy that I found a CD that included this song, and that it is by the lovely Nora jones. Her voice is so soothing and beautiful. I love this CD

Sounds great! Her voice is clearer and you can hear more details than the AP pressing even though her vocals aren’t cut as hot. Her voice is also better balanced with the instruments and I know it sounds weird but somehow her voice is more forward,Only problem is there was glue or something burned in song one and two on side two that made significant noise almost constantly and the record is severely warped so I ordered a replacement.EDIT:Replacement was worse than the first copy I got. Why does amazon seem to get all the bad batches of records? this has happened to me on three in the last month or two

This album was on my wish list for some time but I always felt I could get it at a later time. Well, finally purchased and I'm so glad I did. This pressing is incredible, the sound is just so vibrant, and what I've always considered a good album became an amazing album.

Tenho Come Away With Me em CD e, na ocasião do lançamento, ouvi muito.

I ordered this as a treat for myself, when the order arrived I had momentarily forgotten that I had ordered the CD and was thrilled when I opened the Amazon order box. I love this CD and play it frequently. In the summer when I wash my car outside I will open my living room window and have it set just loud enough so I can listen to it while I'm washing the car in my driveway or inspires me when I'm cleaning the house. It's become one of my fave CD's. These are songs that I fell in love with when I first heard about Norah Jones. I highly recommend this Norah Jones CD.

Norah Jones is such a gifted vocalist & this genre of music had been seldom explored to the extent of this CD's eventual popularity which is what made it so refreshing to hear. Amy Winehouse also burst onto the scene & so we started hearing more of this stylistically jazzy/bluesy music which hadn't been around since maybe Billie Holiday etc. Still Ms. Jones is able to make this music relevant in today's market with the wonderful mix of artists accompanying her on this CD as well as her own richly deserved talents as a musician, storyteller & vocalist.1.Don't Know Why: Everyone will recognize this song when you hear it as it was the most popular on this CD & was heard alot from radio & within the music industry. This song was the catalyst to her winning a Grammy award that year for this CD. It was so nice to see someone in this genre actually get recognized finally. This song just makes you want to drift off & relax and she manages to make one of the most enjoyable CD's to listen to. Put this song on repeat kids, kick off your shoes, dig your feet into the sand & enjoy the day!2.Seven Years: I love the guitar work in this song...and somehow this song reminds me of days gone by when I was kid & went to my grandmother's house & used to sit out on her back swinging patio lounger. I loved sitting on it..thought I had it all and that it was just a great ride like the one's at the local fair! Ha! Ha! Ah kids, aren't we naively precious sometimes! This song makes me feel those times & is just vocally well done & so well written. Despite the sad content of the lyrics the music is uplifting.3.Cold, Cold Heart: This is a great rendition of this classic song. She really shows her vocal talents in this song with the slightest variety of vocal inflections to give her own character to the song. I remember my parent's doing this song together when I was a kid....Norah definetly did a great rendition!4.Feelin The Same Way: This is an uplifting little song...and has a more jazzy pop song that most listeners can identify with. Still so relaxing...and what's wrong with that...we are bombarded with noise these days of all kinds so it's nice to listen to a CD that allows our minds to wander, daydream & just take in the wonderful stillness that this great music provides us with!5.Come Away With Me: Another song instantly recognizable and contributer to warrant that Grammy Award. This is just a touching love song....so well done on all levels, lyrically, instrumentally & vocally. Just a 20+++++++ song that makes one realize why she won that award! So well deserved!6.Shoot The Moon: I love the banjo in this song.....can't you just taste the lemonade & see yourself enjoying a beautiful southern day here on this track? It just simply flows so well. The background vocal with the other singer is a nice coupling when used. I like that the drumming was used sparingly to enhance this song rather than overpower it. The artists that accompanied her on this CD obviously had a wealth of experience & knowledge as they couldn't have used their own abilities in a better way as to bring out the true meaning of each song on this CD & I recognize that so much in this track especially.7.Turn Me On: Well after hearing this song if you aren't turned on...to Norah Jones..you never will be. Great bluesy song..that works on every level. Her vocal & phrasing of each word in this song is beyond excellence!8.Lonestar: This is a good song...reminds me more of a country song so is a departure to me in comparison to the compositions of the other songs on this CD. It still stays within the boundaries instrumentally but the delivery is more country like to me. The lyrics are very well written as are all on this CD (including the renditions so qudo's to the originating artists there) much to our good fortune!9.I've Got To See You Again: This is one of my favorite songs on the CD. I loved the horn with the piano work on this track. This is such a great bluesy/jazzy song and is so well executed that it left my jaw dropping. Her vocal performance on this track made me instantly recognize what a gem this artist is for sure!10.Painter Song: This song's intent was definetly achieved by all the artists on this track. This song reminded me of days gone by...and it did paint a brush (no pun intended) of the storytelling. Each stroke of the vocals.....each brush of the instruments are just outstanding.11.One Flight Down: Love the piano work on this track...okay is everyone relaxed by now? I'd have to say if your not..well just keep listening! Ha! Ha!12.Nightingale: This song is one of my other favorites on the CD from the guitar arrangment to just the expressively beautiful vocal performance. If anyone wants a song or lullaby to put on ..well this is it!13.The Long Day is Done:This song is just so relaxing.....& her voice is just exceptional. This song will get you to relax like none other. Love the vocals including backgrounds and the lyrics will also force you to chill out! Just an A+song.14.The Nearness Of You:This is a classicly sounding Jazz tune. She does the vocals on these type of stylistic songs so well. The piano sounds really great also. These were my favorite tracks....& while reviewing this CD & listening to it again....I'm still awake but am so chilled now! Thanks Norah! If you buy this CD pick extra's up for Mom & Grandma too because they will love it as well! She managed to make this genre current but still has enough in it that other generations will also appreciate it.
