I bought for my son. He finds it a bit hard to read. He is good with a compass but this one seems to be a bit more complicated for him.

J'ai acheté cette boussole en espérant l'utiliser lors de mes randonnées, et je dois dire qu'elle est très précise et fiable. Le design est solide, et elle offre une bonne prise en main. Elle fonctionne bien, même dans des conditions difficiles, et reste stable pour une navigation fiable.Cependant, je dirais que ce modèle n’est pas idéal pour les amateurs ou les personnes qui n’ont pas l’habitude d'utiliser une boussole. Les réglages et l’utilisation peuvent être un peu compliqués pour ceux qui débutent. Il est important de comprendre comment lire les directions correctement, sinon on risque de se perdre ou de mal interpréter les indications.Si vous êtes un randonneur expérimenté ou un passionné de navigation, cette boussole sera parfaite pour vous. Mais si vous êtes un débutant, il est préférable d'opter pour un modèle plus simple et plus intuitif.

I got this for my stepson for Christmas. He’s moderately interested in survival and bushcraft. I knew he didn’t have one. Looked for one with high reviews and decided on this. It’s heavy and has some really cool features that neither I nor my husband have seen. However, the bezel is super lose. I wonder if you were in a situation where you’d actually need to use it, is this going to be a problem? My husband noticed right away and pointed this out to me. And ya, come to think of it I remember a bezel usually has quite a bit of resistance so that your readings are consistent as you move about. I will do a little research and see if there is a screw I can tighten somewhere and adjust this. For reference, both my husband and I are military. I’m a supporter, and don’t use my topo skills like ever, unless I was on a course or something. My husband on the other hand has 20 years, and though he’s a desk and office guy now, these skills were pretty well hammered in. Bottom line, definitely doesn’t seem cheap, the simple case is a nice touch, and it has loads of nifty things like the viewing feature.

Read the reviews, which most were positive. Arrived on time. Looks like a good sturdy unit. Value is fair. Presently trying to learn how to use the compass. The manual offers no value to the learning experince. Terrible instructions!!!!If you have experience and knowledge in mapping & using a compass, you maybe fine. Others have mentioned the same problem. Just so you know.Maybe the company can post a learning video. I will keep the compass & try and figure it out.I did contact the seller regarding , hard to understand instructions & the small size & poor quality of picture that identifies parts on compass. Rapid response from seller & were very receptive to my complaint . They offered a solution & my hope is that they make some changes. Great customer service!
