The slide rule is brand new and well made. The instructions are in Japanese, but English versions are available by searching slide rule history sites. The scales are all standard, so any decent slide rule manual will provide needed how-to information.

Para los coleccionistas y amantes de reglas de calculo mas que recomendable, es un excelente articulo, entendible y facil de usar, aunque no se iguale a una calculadora sea cual sea, ayuda a enterder y analizar un poco mas las matematicas.

2nd REVISION: I like the design of this circular slide-rule, no more problems going off-scale! It is probably the only slide-rule currently manufactured. The diameter of the C and D scales works out to a circumference almost as much as a 10" slide-rule, so no loss of precision.I noticed that pi and the other gauge marks were available only on the C and D scales on one side, not the other!The problem with the degree scale I mentioned is not a problem, as the marking of 90° was meant for another mark (so the 80° mark is simply unlabelled from lack of room).Please note the S (sine), T1, T2 (tangent) and ST (small sine, small tangent) scales have degree markings that are not digital degrees but minutes (divided into three 20' gradations or six 10' gradations per degree).I would have appreciated an LL1 scale along with the LL2 and LL3 scales, to continue the log-log scales closer to 1.00.

very readable double sided instrument. Like the LL scalesInstructions completely in Japanese but not a problem for an experienced user, glad someone is making sliderules still. They are superior to electronic calculators in many ways. Being circular never any need to reset index.

I'm old enough to have used slide-rules (and still have some), but I never had a circular sliderule. The Concise 300 model is the one I wish I had.Sine(cosine), T1 and T2 for tangent, and sine-tangent scales, log-10 scale, LL2 and LL3 for e to powers from 0.1 to 10, and CInv, AB for square-roots, and K for cube roots. Circular means you get the accuracy (at least at the outside) of a 10 inch rule in a 3.5 inch diameter.The build quality is high, and it comes with a vinyl case.There is a cheaper one-sided version without the log and trig scales which would be adequate for the slide-rule curious...

別の方も書いていますが、私の入手した物もC尺とD尺がずれていました。C尺とD尺の基線を合わせると2.5〜3近辺で2%強ずれています(写真を見てください。D尺が3のときC尺が3.08です)これでは計算尺としての用を足せません。構造的に固定尺と滑尺間の精度が出しにくいと思いますので、これから入手する方は要注意だと思います。私は販売店に連絡して即交換してもらいました。良品交換後は期待通りの使用感で、とても気に入っています。円形故に目外れが発生せず、ストレスなく計算できるのが一番の利点。またC尺、D尺は通常のストレートタイプの10インチ尺より長いので数値合わせや読み取りが楽です。それでいて外形11cmですので、携帯するなら5インチや6インチのストレートタイプでなくこの円形タイプになると思います。…胸ポケットには入りませんが…お気に入りの1本となりそうです。
