Looking through the various Connetix sets in our house I can't say that there ever was anything that disappointed. That also applies to the Rainbow Car Pack expansion.This set isn't meant to be used standalone, but instead is an expansion for one of the starter packs. It adds two vehicle bases, that can be built up by the user. The bases are just that - the bottoms of cars with wheels and floors that let the pieces from other sets to be attached.The bases are really well made with easy rolling, high quality wheels. There is quite a lot of build space and the bases can be connected and used as a vehicle with a trailer.As usual with Connetix expansion packs, I find the price on the steep side. I think for the cost, a 3rd car base or maybe some vehicle specific blocks should be added. At the time of my review there is a 20% off coupon available making the price more palatable.

These car bases are an incredible addition to any set of magnetic tiles. With these, kids can build buses, cars, and even trains. Now kids can build something that can move, making playtime even more exciting and adding new ways to play with magnetic tiles. They can create a hospital and ambulance, or a school and school bus. So many ideas to play with these!This pack has only two bases, which isn't perfect for building a long train. For kids who love trains, it's better to purchase two packs. The car bases come with nice rubber wheels, unlike some other similar cars from other brands. I like these wheels better, they are smooth and don't make much noise.These bases enhance play with existing magnetic tile sets, allowing for more creative builds. They work well with various brands of magnetic tiles, not just the Connetix brand. The car bases are very well made, sturdy, and able to support multi-level constructions without issues. The wheels on the car bases . These additions are engaging and expand the play options, encouraging more imaginative play among children. The bases are made from durable materials that withstand rough handling.Tip: To build longer trains, consider getting more than one pack. Pour :(+) Plus sécuritaire: De par sa meilleure conception cette marque est plus sécuritaire pour les enfants que les marques génériques chinoises. En effet, cette marque utilise des rivets pour s’assurer que les deux faces ne se détachent pas. Alors que les marques chinoises économisent sur les coûts de fabrication en ne mettant pas de rivets. Le danger avec l’absence de rivets c’est que les deux faces peuvent se détacher l’une de l’autre, libérant ainsi les nombreux petits aimants qui représentent un grave danger pour les enfants en cas d’ingestion.Contre:(-) Cette marque originale est beaucoup plus dispendieuse que les marques chinoises.Bref, si vous avez les moyens, achetez la vraie marque. Si vous choisissez les marques génériques chinoises soyez à l’affût de tout bris dans les pièces. Et le plus important, peu importe la marque, éduquez vos enfants sur le danger que représentent les aimants. Personnellement je n’approuve pas ce jouet et ce peu importe la marque, car le danger dévastateur des aimants est toujours présent et n’ai guère envie de devoir me rendre aux urgences un samedi soir en pleine tempête de neige pcq mon enfant a ingérer des aimants. Je préfère de loin acheter des lego à mon enfant, c’est selon moi un meilleur jouet plus versatile et plus sécuritaire.

I have observed several other companies releasing magnetic tile sets, but none compare to Connetix. They're magnets are exceptionally strong compared to other products we have tried. These tiles are wonderful for fostering a child's imagination. Although these two half cars do not constitute a complete vehicle, they are still of remarkably high quality. The rubber wheels and sturdy plastic are consistent with the company's standards. In my opinion, they are somewhat expensive, but like Lego, they are built to last and are even less painful to step on lol. My son has been utilizing these and other pieces from our other kits to construct various objects, including cars, trains, and airplanes. We thoroughly enjoy observing him engage his imagination beyond the confines of a screen.

Our five year old daughter loves playing with her magnetic tiles, and the Connetix brand is one that we've been using for years! I love and trust the tiles to have strong a magnetic hold, safe corners and be well built (which means that the initial price is truly an investment)! This set of two car bases is a great addition to the many other Connetix sets we have, and will add in creativity as these allow for movement! The wheels roll so incredibly smooth, making them a pleasure to play with! Would be a great gift for a family who already has magnetic tiles, or to give in addition to a building set as a large gift!
