These mats are great--I prefer them to the black mats, which are a bit thicker. These mats prevent food from overcooking and getting burnt. They're fairly easy to clean, although black lines from the grates usually remains. They can accumulate a lot of liquid as food cooks. They last for a while--I find that they start to rip along the black lines after considerable use. We use them for the grill when cooking chicken, meat, chops, vegetables, etc.

We discovered these copper grill mats several years ago and it changed my whole attitude about grilling. We love them! You can easily grill almost anything on them without putting items in a grill basket. The food is tasty, the grill doesn't flame up, and it's much easier to clean up. We do re-use them after cleaning them. A steel wool pad easily cleans the gunk off. The dishwasher does an okay job (top rack), but a little scrub works much better. Depending on what we cook, we re-use them anywhere from 3-6 times, but it really depends. If you're curious if meat and veggies actually "grill" on them, the answer is YES!

I absolutely love these mats and I never cook outside on the grill without one! My food cooks evenly and still get the grill lines! You can wash them in the dish washer as well!
