My preference is to use cordless impact guns but there are times where you just can't easily get a gun behind a bolt or nut to spin it off. The JENABOM ratchet can come in handy in those situations.I am reviewing the tool based on the price as a non-professional tool so there's no expectation of making comparison to a professional grade tool at 7 times the price. My rating is based on value for who this tool is aimed at i.e. non-professional mechanic who occasionally would find benefit from using a cordless ratchet.The tool comes with 1 rechargeable battery pack which snaps into the base of the handle. It consists of 3 18650 cells and an integrated charge controller. The battery pack is fairly girthy and therefore the handle also girthy as result to accommodate the pack.The tool has one speed of operation which is activated by trigger pull. Forward and reverse are selected by switching the rachet direction at the metal head. The motor spins in one direction only. Reversing action is achieved mechanically at the head.The motor is brushed. It connects to a planetary gear reduction which in turn drives a metal pin in a small rotation. The metal pin oscillates the ratcheting mechanism. Drive rotation is fairly quick. Torque from this action is minimal. The manufacturer claims 33ft-lbs torque is achievable.To use the tool in most cases would be manually supplying initial torque to free/tighten a bolt. Once freed to turn, then using the power aspect of the wrench to run through the remaining threads.
