I wish it were a little more sturdy, but for what it is, it is perfect

I thought Westcott was good since they make many rulers but compared to the existing ruler I was replacing after 10 years I am really disappointed. First the grid lines are painted on top and not embedded into the center so the surface is not smooth and makes it hard to slide the ruler on paper. The very worst part is the edges. Only one side is beveled and both sides are full of burrs. You could probably cut a loaf of bread with these edge burrs. These burrs also keep the ruler from sliding smoothly. Just a terrible ruler which even though the price is good I will be returning. No excuse for this type of quality they need to keep their cutting tools sharper. Bevel is on the wrong direction.

This ruler came with rough plastic edges. Couldn't draw a smooth line with it.

I've always loved these C-Thru rulers and have some older ones that I have been using for decades. Over time (a very long time), the plastic starts to yellow, and I figured it was finally time to replace them. The only problem is that the new C-Thru rulers seem to be manufactured to a much lower quality standard. Compare the printing on my ~25 year-old C-Thru to the new one. It's night and day. The new ruler's printing is heavy and sloppy with numerous smudges and bleeds. The old C-Thru feels like a precise drafting tool; the new one is more like something you'd find at the Dollar Store. I'm not sure if this has something to do with Westcott taking over the company; regardless, I won't be buying these again. I'm probably going to just toss the new one out and make do with Old Yeller.

Have used the 6" version for years. Is great when you need to center something on something else, like stripes or checks on paper, furniture, etc.

The bevelled edges work perfectly for inking lines and the transparency enables you to see the lines you will be moving to while you are inking.

Thin and flexible, yet sturdy and does the job. Arrived earlier than estimated date. Would buy from seller again.

I feel tempted to make some kind of 90's grade pun about rulers. It's a hunk of beveled plastic with numbers and lines drawn all over it and it does its job well. However it's a bit flexible; I found myself contorting my hands like Zakk Wylde to keep from slipping my pencil under it while making sure it stayed in place.
