These socks are warm and comfortable inside ski boots. I like the fact that they are made in Vermont and that they are guaranteed for life. What I didn't like was that I ordered these socks for Christmas on December 2nd and even though they were in stock at the time, I did not receive them until January 3rd.

Sadly they've changed things at Darn Tough and quality has gone down in order to save money. These are a tiny bit scratchy, which someone else in another review says about them too. They're also far too long. They go to the bottom of my knee which is annoying and I have to fold the top of the sock down to put it where it belongs. I'm 5' 11" and the old version of these socks were the perfect length.I sent my old socks in because of the lifetime warranty and haven't received new ones or any kind of communication from Darn Tough. It's been well over 3 months. Time will tell if they honour their lifetime warranty but as of right now they don't. It shouldn't have taken this long to just send me replacements, like they said they'd do. They said to expect it to take 8 weeks. It's been well over 12 weeks.

I never get callouses or blisters during a partcular activity. The same day I ever wore Darn Toughs, they started to wear on me.I have other brands of thicker and wool socks which are more comfortable and don't wear on my feet, thus I'll be buying more of those in the future.Not sure what material Darn Tough's are made of, but it's not soft.Nothing _wrong_ with them. I just won't be purchasing ever again.
