Your cart is empty.The F/A-18C Hornet is a multirole combat jet aircraft developed by McDonnell Douglas and Northrup during the 1970s. With a top speed of Mach 1.8, it was the first modern jet intended for both land and air duties. It is a superb war plane with the primary missions of fleet air defense, fighter escort, intercept, combat air patrol, suppression of enemy air defense, air interdiction and close air support, among others. The Blue Angels are the United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, whose mission is to exhibit pride and professionalism through flight demonstrations.

This plane is true to what a Blue Angel actually looks like. I had previously ordered two other sets but returned them. One wasn’t even blue, it was black, the other did not have the correct markings on the plane.

I heard the Blue Angel pilots don't have trouble meeting women. Maybe we should train all our young men to fly this plane since both marriage and birth rate are declining in the West.The Hornet in many ways was better than the F-16. If you lost an engine on the Hornet you staggered back to base. Lose an engine on the F-16 and you punch out.The Hornet's radar had longer reach and its maneuverability below 300 miles an hour was far superior (due to the Hornet's straight wing versus the Falcon's highly swept wing).This toy is well made and represents the zenith of mankind's drive to more efficiently dispatch our enemies. Plus carrier aviation is cool because its fun to land a jet on a ship.As a toy this is a magnificent display, a treasured part of my collection, a reminder that, like insects in a terrarium, humanity is forever destined to battle it out with each other over resources.I bought one of these jets for every kid in my family. A die-cast in my books is all metal frame. The rear tail section has the vertical stabilizers made of thin styrofoam? and snap off at the slightest touch. Seriously? It's going back and will write this seller off as nothing more than cheap junk.

I'm a massive plane fan, and I like trinkets, so this was a good gift. Only thing is, when I was trying to mount it, I placed it upside down on the table so I could fix the stand into place, and then the vertical tail fins broke. I applied no pressure to it, and had to super glue them back on.
