It didn't have terminal markings except two places were marked "E". Replaced alternator of Yanmar 3GM30F installed on 1986 Island Packet. I just put the wire back on the posts that most closely matched the original. The pulley had to be removed from the original and used on the new unit. I cut the nut off the original with a dremmel tool and replaced the pulley on the new unit with the old pully. Also was a snug fit for the plug of two wire on the back. Got everything bolted down and wired, started the engine and noted that the charge voltage was 14.3 volts dc with engine running at 600 rpms and the alternator warning was extinguished. It would be nice if a picture of the back with marking for + Battery and -Negative was provided. Will see if it lasts for a while.

Had to loosen all of the fasteners and wiggle the internals a bit so I could plug the wire harness in. It strangely comes with a test sheet stating that it is untested.That said, it works great. Would recommend.

It works it would be nice if the terminals were labeled or a diagram showing what terminals are what. But the alternator works well I have it on a yanmar ysm12

The electrical connections do not match the factory yanmar harness. Too late for me to return, so it might just go to the recycling bin... DO NOT buy this for a yanmar 2gm20.

This is not a direct proper replacement. Had to swap out and reuse original pully and fan assy. It is too small of a groove 3l and the 3jh2e is a 4l pulley.Requires an impact gun to remove and retighten to proper specification. Good luck if you dont own such tools...
