I purchased this item last June and a few months later was having intermittent electrical issues. Automatic headlights turning off (causing me to get a ticket). instrument cluster power cycling like I just turned on the truck (now needs instrument cluster repair), power windows and the radio shutting off as well.Initially we thought it was another electrical part installed after. I took it to a shop 4 times trying to get it diagnosed, but because it was intermittent and only happened did while driving, no shop was able to figure it out. Initially they though it was the BCM. After replacing that, the issue still occurred. Just a week ago an electrical mechanic had me remove the radio and apply leads to the power and ground to test the voltage while driving. Finally, when the truck did its power cycling thing, we got a reading of 19.22 Volts. Dangerously high for the vehicle. Two ASE mechanics have expressed it was the Alternator.I reached out to this company of "quality" products for their warranty, as the failure occurred within the first year and they refused to take responsibility.I would steer clear of any products from this manufacturer. going out while driving, damaging the cluster, but never when the vehicle was stopped. There was an aftermarket Later the instrument cluster, radio and power windows all would randomly stop working while driving. Over a l period of time, I had the ignition and wiring checked 3 times by 3 different companies but no one could find an issue in the wiring or the grpunds.Today, we finally figure it out. I had a multimeter hooked to the power of the radio and it read 14 volts. When the intermittent issue finally happened, it read 19 volts (took video and I took it to a mechanic and showed him and he confirmed it was the alternator that I had just recently purchased.I would like to request a warranty claim as the date of loss was happening within a year of purchase.

Fairly easy to install, looks exactly like the OEM part, and has been working great in my Tahoe.

Worked well ar first, but is not functioning properly after 3 months! If you want to waste money then by all means buy it! Not only is it a waste of money, but a total waste of time!

Great..great.. great!! I had to sand down the alternator a bit, because the space between mounting bracket was too tight. Other than that, no issues. People that complain about the "whine" of the alternator should realize that the old alternator wasn't up to par (charging). My Caddy hasn't turned over that fast in a long time.. because the battery wasn't getting a full charge!! I'm one happy customer!! 😎😎

I purchased this to replace an alternator that had the bearings going out in it so it was quite noisy. I installed this one and there is still a slight whine coming form it, but it fit right in and charges perfect.
