Swapped out dead OEM alternator for this one. Intermittent issues of not charging, turned out to be poor connection on plug. Checked the plug back on the old original Ford alternator and it was super tight making perfect contact.On this alternator it was a sloppy fit with lots of wiggle upon closer inspection. I tightened up the contacts a bunch and it fixed the problem, however this should be plug and play with closer OEM tolerances.Does it work ? Yes now that I've adjusted the original plug to make a solid connection.Does it warrant 1 star ?Yes it does when it leaves me stranded roadside not charging due to sloppy tolerances on a plug that should fit snug like the original connection....Yes it does.

Now with the vehicle compatibility feature, you can tell whether it will fit on your truck. It took me just a few minutes to find the right alternator for my 08 Ranger, and barely 20 minutes to install it and be done. Couldn't have asked for a better experience saving 250 Labor at a mechanic.

I have bought/installed many DB Alternators, Starters and I have only had one failure which DB made right through there warranties dept. I continue to buy them when needed as they are a quality product. I even keep 1 new one on my shelf due to plowing snow in the winter months and like being prepared for anything that can go wrong. I trust DB products so much that I know the warranty will expire long before I use the back up alternator I bought but I'm good with that as they have shown me they stand behind their stuff. I have sent many friends, neighbors to DB electrical and none have had issues to date. Thats say a lot to me.
