The cover is beautiful, which is why I chose to purchase the alt cover. The book provides a fun and interesting nexus point to work from with neat details to incorporate. I haven’t gotten through the whole thing yet, but the setting(s) is going to be fun to drop into my games. The stories, so far, provide a good range of variety and interesting hooks. It’s not a perfect book, and I do wish it were a bit longer and even more detailed in places, but I’m loving going through it and seeing what I want to use. The 1 star reviews that I’ve seen seem to entirely rate the book on a paragraph in the intro that essentially says if you’re into the irl role playing aspects of the game, avoid doing blackface.

People who whine about 5e or D&D progressiveness won't like it. Anyone who likes 5e and is sensible enough to understand you can use the books and resources to play/tell stories any way you want at your table will love it. Visually impressive, great short stories and settings.

The artwork throughout is beautiful and the special cover doesn’t disappoint. I love the details and many adventures, but most of all I ADORE the Radiant Citadel itself. Love that D&D is expanding into the planes, and the concept of a near-utopian society built around this massive magical gemstone floating among the astral sea is SO cool. Especially good for high-level play, because it gives you a home base outside the Mortal Plane AND easy teleportation access to a bunch of different places and planes.

I was already so excited for this book, but this cover made me so happy to see a different take on art that can be in and on a D&D book! I would really love to see WotC step out of their comfort zones a bit more like with this book (in content and art) and I'm looking forward to the future of gaming if it's like this!!

The cover art is even more beautiful to behold in person, with a metallic shine. The adventures are beautiful, dangerous and so unique drawing on several different cultures. This book opens up lovely opportunities to slip some of these adventures into your current campaign or a fun one shot! Can't wait to use these!!
