Edit: Bought 6 more, reduing from 5 to 2 stars. Received 2 that were an entirely different item, 1 that was DOA, and 1 more died after a couple of weeks. Seems like there are extreme quality control issues.I bought this and the 36w version of the same brand, this one does not whine at lower fan speeds but the other one has an extreme whine that can be heard accross the house. Even though this one is a bit bigger and has a less robust fan connector, I think it's much better just for the lack of whine. I used a zip tie to strengthen the part other reviews complained is not strongly attached and haven't had issues.

The PCB board the fans connect to were not properly soldered. the positive wire detached and need re-soldered now.

This was purchased to power PC fans for a research project. it works great. The adjustable speed is great, the price is fair at the time of my purchase. I did not check voltage stability and precise output with a meter to confirm accuracy in case your looking for PERFECT. It has been used nonstop for several months and still doing great!

It works fine. Just had a problem with one of the power wires coming off. The soldering job wasn't the greatest.

Plug in the fans, turn it on and set the desired voltage, works as expected at a reasonable price, I like the digital display and the higher amperage capacity vs. other options on amazon. thank you.
