One shower/day usage and hose failed in several places below handheld end and down to center. Chrome was peeling off also. Past history of Delta produces was much better life.

When I had my bathtub converted to a walk-in shower, the contractor installed a low-flow shower wand. Everybody in my family commented on the wimpy pressure, so I researched a bit and found that there are California water-flow standards (1.75gpm very low-flow) and there are federal standards (2.5gpm). After some searching on Amazon I located the exact same unit as I had, but in the higher-flow option. So I bought it and installed it and I love it. Instsallation is a breeze (hand-tightened joint). Two other comments: first, I was froced to buy the flex hose and wand both, although I only needed the wand (which is why I gave 4-stars); but second, the replacement came with detailed instructions on how to set the flow pattern buttons, which the contrator did not give me. There are eight (8) possible combinations of button settings and I finally found the one I strongly prefer. I am now happy in my shower :-)

Important to remove black tiny flow restrictor with a paper clip if you have less incoming flow, like we have (due to being on a well). But the weight and style is nice, and so many patterns to choose from. We liked the one with the full, widest spray and kind of larger soft drops.

I am somewhat limited physically, so I wanted a shower I could use without wasting water while I'm moving from one thing to another. The button doesn't shut the water off completely, but it does cut down on the flow considerably. I like the different flow combinations available, and how easy they are to use-just push a button. I have a diverter on my faucet, and this was the best option I was able to find. So far I am very, very pleased.

Far exceeded my expectations and the price was unbeatable. I live in an old house and there was no shower above the bathtub so I installed a vinyl tub surround and purchased this handshower and the Delta RP3914 Diverter Spout which has a connection for a handshower. Now I have a very nice shower above the bathtub and it was a very easy do-it-yourself project and the cost was a tiny fraction of what it would have cost to have a plumber install in-wall plumbing for a shower.
