Installation wasn’t too hard. Had to view a you tube video for instructions since there wasn’t any in the package. One word to note is that the screw included is a self tapping screw! So don’t worry if you don’t see any threads in the hole.

I’m able to install the delta cartridge on the faucet, but the issue I have is the screw that comes with it. Because the screw is not properly thread to the cartridge hole. I’ve to use slight force to screw the thread through the hole. Luckily, the screw went through the hole and solved that issue. I tested the faucet with new cartridge installed and no more water leakage. I might go to a local hardware next time for quality control.

Came in Delta packaging so I'm assuming it is a genuine part. This is the part you need to solve one of these problems #1 leaking or a faucet that doesn't shut off or #2 a loose handle that wont stay tight (because the stem is probably stripped out, this happens slowly over time and don't think that you did anything wrong, it happens all the time to these faucets and unfortunately this part needs to be replaced every 5 years).I needed this to fix problem #2 which really is a poor design in how this part is manufactured. The stem hole where the bolt that holds the handle is made of a softer metal and is not threaded. You MUST cut new threads by forcing the little bolt into the hole and turning it in with the included wrench. Do this BEFORE you install the part into the faucet. When you thread in the bolt you MUST keep a lot of downward pressure on the bolt to make sure it keeps cutting into the stem and not stripping out! This is the most critical part of the instal, it is not hard but you must keep the bolt straight and press really hard while screwing it in.After creating a new set of threads in the stem, the installation is self explanatory. Turn off your water under the sink first and open the faucet until it no longer runs. Then remove your old handle, pull off a piece of decorative trim, remove an O-ring, unscrew a large brass nut with an adjustable wrench and the old control valve will come out. There are tabs to prevent you from installing it wrong, it will only fit one way, put the new valve in and work the rest of the steps backward. In total this should be a 15 minute job for most people with some mechanical knowledge, assuming your water shutoff under the sink works.

Easy to replace. Fit perfect. Works exactly as described. Faucet no longer drips. Suggestion to installers - put either olive oil or gasoline on the rubber seals before installing for lubrication purposes

This was the least costly alternative to replacing the entire faucet. But after calling around to our local home hardware stores for the exact replacement, we just ordered this one off Amazon. We did have to file it down a bit as it was actually a bit too long. That was a couple weeks ago now and not a drop so far. :) 4 star rating for the "filing". lol

As other views have mentioned, be careful that the RP73000 is what you actually need. Our facet, a Cassidy 9197, should (according to Delta's documentation) require the rp73000. However the stem on the rp73000 is not the correct stem and we require the rp60114. Note that the RP60114 is for the Cassidy 9197T (where T stands for touch technology.) Making things even more confusing, our Cassidy faucet doesn't have the touch technology, but does have the cartridge from a touch faucet installed! Best thing is to remove your faucet and compare the stem to the rp73000 and rp60114, it's the only way you'll know for sure. 1 STAR rating for all the confusion.
