If your looking at this style of cheaper diamond sharpening stone this specific one is the one you want! They package it amazing and it showed up in perfect condition.Does it have some contamination of 400 grit on the 1200 side yeah a little here and there, but it should smooth out with a few uses and most double sided diamond stones will have this issue. They also come a bit rough normally, so do require a little break in period and will smooth out after the first few uses or you can easily break it in before use with a cheap knife or flat piece of metal.I think these are actually electroplated and not adhesive other brands that look identical specificly state they are electroplated and outdoors55 (youtuber look him up) claims these are plated also, although it's technically another brand he recommends this looks identical. Eitherway it works perfectly for the price the 400 cuts nice and fast and the 1200 leaves the edge hair cutting sharp after a leather strop.The photos I uploaded show the padding it was shipped in. The close ups were taken using a cheap digital microscope of the grits as zoomed as I could. A photo of how a morakniv carbon edge looks after stoning both on both 400 and 1200 to give an example of the scratch patterns this was without breaking it in and it still worked great so can't wait to see how good it works once broken in.Pro tip don't ever use water on diamond stones as they will rust and get wrecked very fast. Clean easy with dry rag, air duster, or air compressor.

It feels way rougher on first use than the stated grits, but it wears in after a few passes. Cuts fast and flat. Great for stone flattening.

I use this stone for sharpening speed skates. It has a great weight and is the right length for the spread on jigs. Grit works perfectly too. This is my second time purchasing this stone. With this use I get about a season or so out of the stone as I only use a specific section of each side due to proper technique.
