It is a safety component that will not let ignition occur until it sees 75% of the motor’s rpm’s. Fit perfectly and looks to be a more robust switch than what it replaced. Having said that the switch wasn't the issue: turns out the board was what had failed. Seems this is common for the Dometic brand.
