If you need clearance to fit , this is it. Later oil pan have larger sumps , your center link will hit those in early impalas. This solved my issue.

Do not buy this pan. It showed up with a damaged box and of course pan gasket flange area was damaged in a few areas. Went to a local speed shop and bought a good quality pan

Great Oem style gm small block Chevy pan very close to the original style at a fraction of the price.

I purchased this for a 1962 327. The pan is quality and well made but in my case it just didn't fit. The pan seems like it would fit but the bolt holes didn't line up. I could get all the holes to line up on the driver's side but not the passenger side, the worst was the front left corner, it was out at least half the width of the bolt. The other holes I could have ground out a bit but I just didn't want to ruin the corner hole as it is reinforced. I really wanted to use this pan and it is well made but for me, it just didn't work out :(
