feels solid and sturdy, just like the original but much newer (and not broken! 😉). the slightly stippled, mild orange peel texture is just like the factory as well. same shape and size, same heft. i presume it will last a long time, but time must pass to confirm (or possibly prove my hypothesis incorrect.)it arrives new with a noticeable seam from the plastic molds it was cast in, which i used a bit of sandpaper to gently remove so it wouldn't scratch or cut anyone and it would feel nice in the hand.my truck (from the 89-06 generation, mid-1990s) came with black window cranks that faded to grey over the years, but the interior color scheme is dark blue, so before installing this one, i sanded it a bit more (very lightly) all over to roughen the surface, and then applied a bit of blue stain to make it color matched with the cab. it took the color great and looks superb.i haven't installed it yet, because as it turns out, there's a couple of small tabs that clip the outer surface over the inner part of the crank, where the screw hole is. i haven't taken the time yet to find the right size flathead screwdrivers to gently pry and unclip the cover, or to ask the search engines for the technique. `~however i have no doubts about this item, or else i wouldn't have dared to modify it permanently as i have done.~~EDIT TO UPDATE:So this turns out to be a very close but not exact match. As another reviewer who had the same issue (and almost the same truck) said, there's a longer bit where it attacked, that makes it stick out ridiculously. That reviewer said they cut about 1/4" off but it "didn't leave much" of the spline-y part to grip the base. I think I will try first extending the grooves inward, possibly by careful drilling with a vet small bit (1/64 or smaller, at a guess) or by using a piece of metal with the same spline pattern, heated enough to soften the plastic and then pushed in. I'll figure it out, try it, and update again when I find out if it works. In the meantime, I will second that other review, that this is NOT an exact fit for a early-90s Ford F-150. (XL, in case the trim makes a difference but I think they're all the same within a year model.) It fits, *-ish*, and it definitely works, but it doesn't Really fit.~~would recommend. if you have an older vehicle that needs a new window crank, this one is a good purchase.~~

The product seems to be made as well as the OEM version and is easy to install. However, it shows it is compatible with my 1994 Ford F-150 XL but the spline of the handle is longer and causes the handle to stick out from the trim farther than the original (as seen in the attached picture). I attempted to fix the issue by cutting about a 1/4” of the plastic spline off. This didn’t leave very many teeth to grip the metal but held with the center screw tightened down. However, it still sticks out from the trim and doesn’t look very good. I reordered a different set of handles that appear to have a shorter/lower profile. A good product but not for my specific application. Buyer beware of the extended spline.

Not as great as oem but it's not worth hunting down the oem part.this is a great alternative.
