Dominos are good and wooded case is nice, but the little silver pieces on the back of each domino mark up the others in the case when they touch making it not good for the game aspect and keeping things fair. Kind of like marked cards at the casino. They do wipe off with some windex, but that would be only reason not a 5 star

I love the domino set itself. The pieces are nice and have good weight to them. But splinters right off the bat? Really? I had to peel away the parts of the wood that was lifting to prevent further splinters. 😒

This is a very nice quality set of dominoes. From the wooden box with sliding cover to the weight and thickness of the tiles to the little metal spinner in the center and the crisp imprint of the dots, everything is really well made.For me, the sensory aspect of the tiles adds to their appeal- the sound of the clicking of the melamine tiles together and the smooth weight of them in my hand make these very pleasing to use.They come with a set of instructions for those who haven't played in a while. I love games that are quick and easy to set up and put away and this set of classic Dominoes is a great addition to our family game collection.

Nice set of dominoes. Comes in a box that is actual wood (of some kind.) Looks like a cherry stain on something similar to clear pine. The box is not stinky.The box is sufficiently tall that the dominoes can be stored standing up. I find it is easier to put the dominoes back in the box this way rather than putting them in lying flat. Additionally, the "spinner" will mar the dominoes less if they are stored upright.FYI - The spinner is, mostly, traditional because of how dominoes were historically made. Today, the only practical purpose for it is to prevent anybody from trying to keep track of a particular domino during shuffling since the spinner allows them to slide around more easily when face down on the table.The pips and central line on the dominoes are deeply etched so the markings will never wear off. I'm sure this is true of most dominoes but - someone somewhere is always willing to try to pull a fast one so I just thought that I would note that these Doublefan dominoes are made correctly.No racks are necessary when using these dominoes since they are quite thick (0.5 inches as per the listing) and they stand up on their own.

This is an excellent dominoes set. The dominoes are an excellent weight and heft that make you feel like you're playing "for real" -- not playing a child's version or a cheap version or a plastic version. They come in a really nice box, too, which is made of wood with a sliding top for opening.The dominoes are made of melamine which is what gives them that perfect weight and heft. When you slap your domino down onto the table, it's a very satisfying weight and sound. These also have spinners so you get even more satisfaction and that protects the faces of the dominoes so that the dots don't get worn off etc.This is a set of 28 which is the standard set size and the numbers on them from double sixes on down are also consistent with the standard 28 piece set. But these have a really nice feel and weight and heft to them (which really does make a difference in how it feels when you're playing the game) and they come in a nice classy looking wooden box for transport and for storage.Excellent set all around. We are really enjoying them.

This is really quire a nice dominoes set. All the pieces fit into a very compact wooden case. It is even ideal for travelling as it does not take a lot of space.The top of the wooden case slides on and off as it has built-in grooves on either side. Once you slide off the top of the case, it will reveal your actual dominoes. The pieces are plastic but it is a hard plastic and they appear to be well-constructed.You will find a foldout sheet of paper under the dominoes with instructions on playing the game. The foldout sheet is in full colour and also has very legible font.This game is great for kids or adults and the game has been around a long time. You can look forward to hours of fun with this game and the actual game set will endure for many years with this quality product.I have dropped the rating to four stars only because my wooden box has a flaw on it. It looks like the paint or whatever was applied to the top of the box has a very apparent defect in it (see photos).
