MXR DC Brick Pedalboard Power Supply

Keep your pedals powered with the MXR DC Brick Power Supply. Featuring eight 9V outputs and two 18V outputs, there's power enough to supply virtually any combination of effects. Each 9V output has an LED that will illuminate if there is a short, so you don't have to guess. Of course, there is ample short-circuit and overload protection so you don't have to worry about that either. Included in the box is the AC adapter and all the cables you need to get going.

MXR

Since 1972, MXR has been a pioneer of the effects pedal market with the revolutionary development of tough and rugged stomp boxes, simple utilitarian designs, small sizes, and 100% rich analog tone. Today Dunlop continues MXR's traditional pedal line of original MXR classics that has come to define the brand, as well as new modern classics like the Carbon Copy and Fullbore Metal. However, MXR has never stopped innovating and continues to inspire with award winning designs. MXR Bass Innovations has recently released the Bass Octave Deluxe and Bass Envelope Filter. The MXR Custom Shop faithfully resurrects recreations of the long-lost vintage models such as the hand-wired Phase 45, as well as doing limited runs of pedals featuring premium components and highly modified designs such as the new Custom Comp.

This is a great unit at a good price. This is in fact my third one. I was using two with a substancial pedal board and without thinking, sold them with all of my pedals and started using a multieffects unit. I have since sold my multieffects unit and have gone back to a series of pedals, thus needing the unit again. It is not noisy and works like it should. And the price is right.

Like many of my musician brothers & sisters, I have a bit of money invested in my pedalboard - Darkglass, Aguilar, BBE, Line 6, Korg, etc. When I started purchasing the more expensive Darkglass stuff I still had a cheap power unit. Oddly enough it worked pretty quietly with the LEDs on versus off. I used my pedals live, but as of late, quite a bit in my home studio and bands' studios.I'd gone to NAMM 2019 and noticed these power units used on the Darkglass pedalboards at the Darkglass booth. Even prior to that, I'd been kicking myself a little for having over $1000 in pedals powered by a $20 unit. When I received the MXR unit, I plugged in with the old power supply and played. It didn't seem to have much noise. However, when I plugged my pedals into the MXR until, I COULD TELL the difference. Even though I heard no sound on the original unit, the MXR did seem more quiet. After testing a bit more - yes, there was a slight, slight background to the cheap unit - more so, questionable power through pedals.I feel MUCH better having my pedals on an MXR unit - granted, it IS made in China, just like the cheap one I was using, but I still feel better with my money in pedals powered by a name as solid as MXR.

Cette 'Brick' évite la multiplicité d'alimentations et/ou le recours aux cordons pieuvres. Et fonctionne parfaitement!

I actually have this and it's previous version. The main difference is that have 1 more 9V output instead of the 2 18V the older version has. But for me it's ok because almost every pedal runs now with a 9V standard. Led indicators on each 9V output let you know you're OK (or not) in your pedalboard power supply, so it's easy to see if you've a power problem. Be aware of the amount of mA of the sum of your pedals in order for them to properly work. I've been in situations were i over passed this rate and one of my pedals didn't work as expected, but it was totally my fault because i wasn't aware of this, so... that's a tip (and actually this is explained better in the manual)

It's the best thing that I've bought for my pedals. You can easily connect 8 9v DC pedals or 2 18v DC pedals, which is the most common thing in all pedals. I'm using mxr and ehx pedals and it works fine with it . Boss and Ibanez have the same output in common. You will get connectors and adapter with all kind of socket types inside one box.

Good, stable and solid piece. I like that there are 2 18V outputs. I also like that this is an LED to indicate a short on any given output. That is very handy and saves time trouble shooting. It fits easily on a pedalboard. The actual power supply is in the wall wart. I would have preferred a thicker cable for power, but this is what you get. I would also prefer to have 'L' shaped connector jacks, to save space instead of the straight ended ones, but whatever, you get what you get.
