Notes:
- A minimum thickness of 6mm as sample test probes is recommended for measurement's optimal results (if it's less you may add more layer but should not be more than 3 layers) and measuring point of at least 18mm distance from the outside edges
- It is recommended that measurements be made with the type D durometer when the value is above 90 HA

I am an adhesives engineer and often need to measure the hardness of soft things like rubber or foam. The Gain Express Shore A tester is everything I could hope for:1) It comes with a nice protective case for travel and transportation2) It is powered by a common size watch battery3) It zeros easily and stays zeroed for a long time4) It is highly repeatable compared to the old analog testersI spent the last week testing cast urethane rubbers which are somewhere between 50 and 80 A hardness, and it clearly helped me identify undercured material. The tool saved me a bunch of analysis time and was a bargain price, considering how nice it is.

Very pleased with this addition to my tool kit. Very solid feeling device. Appears to work as expected. I'm not expecting accuracy rivalling several hundred doller gauges. Ballpark measurements are good enough for my purposes.

Works well. But despite being nicely packaged in a foam box the plastic frame is cracked. Doesn't appear to affect the operation but might lead to long term problems
