Nice, slides fit well, although I had to return the first one due to damage by worker when installing latches. Their hammer had dented the nearby wood, the nail was not fully in, but they still sold it. If you get a bad one, ask for a replacement. Better QC is needed, but it's a decent box.

I was really surprised at the quality of this box. I look for 4 things in a wooden microscope slide box: (1) the hinges and latches are aligned (2) the lid closes tightly all around the box with no gaps (3) it opens 180°, not 90° and (4) the slide grooves are well aligned so the slides sit 90° to the bottom of the box and 90° to the sides of the box. This box is really well made and meets all my criteria!
