Product Description

1

YHTAUTO oil pan products are divided into engine oil pan and transmission oil pan. The engine oil pan is attached to the bottom of the engine with bolts and is the reservoir for oil that gets pumped throughout the engine to lubricate, clean and cool moving parts. The transmission oil pan keeps your transmission fluid safe and reliable. When you turn off the vehicle, the oil pan can be used as a sump. Over time, the oil pan may fail due to the extreme hood conditions during your ride. To solve this problem, you'd better get a good replacement oil pan immediately.

Damaged or Malfunctioning Performance---Engine Oil Pan

1

Having puddles of oil under your car is one of the first things that you may notice when it is time to replace. Noticing the oil leak and getting it fixed is the best way to avoid serious damage to your car.

2

Over time, the oil drain plug will be damaged and may begin to leak. The drain plug also contains an extruded gasket that will fail over time or will fail if it is not replaced.

3

When passing through the lower part of the oil passage, the oil pan may be bumped or sunken. This impact damage can be a fast leak or something that begins as a drip and steadily gets worse.

General Instruction on How to Replace the Oil Pan

1

1.Use jacks and jack stands to lift and support your vehicle

2.Ensure that the pan in placed just below the tank from where the oil will flow.

3. Remove the mounting bolts and drain the oil.

2

4.Using the socket, and loosen the old pan.

5.Remove the existing oil pan. Use a clean rag to remove any metal debris.

3

6.Run a bead of the sealant used to hold the fiber gasket to the new oil pan and install the gasket.

7.Make sure the holes for the bolts in the gasket and pan match each other and then install.

3

8.Tighten the screws or bolts until they start to snug.

9.Replace the old oil filter and add the proper amount of oil. Make sure to watch for leaks.

The above steps are for reference only, and we recommend you to ask the technician to do the replacement.

Ordered this because my original rotted out seems pretty decent but I’ll be re using my stock drain plug as this one comes with a regular bolt and washer which I’m not a fan of. Other than that you can’t beat it for the price just some time will tell if it can hold up

The inside is painted black. Took a long time to strip it back to bare metal. I should say the reason i did this is because i read that people were having problems with the paint coming off after installation and blocking the intake for the oil. Not sure if it is this brand or not. I just didn't want to take the chance.

Looks to be thicker steel than the stock one. Fitment is good. Hopefully it will last longer then the stock one!

Seem to be nice but time will tell. I’ll update later on. As of now seems to be a good pan.

The oil pan in our Dodge Ram 2500 rusted out. The Mister and his mechanic had to watch a few YouTube vids to get it in but they did and it fit. It is tricky getting the new one in because of a part that gets in the way, but if you watch a video before hand, you will save yourself a lot of problems. Once they saw what they had to do - and I believe it was to lift the engine up just a bit further than they had it so it cleared that part - the pan slid into place effortless. It fits and it works!
