These things are a hidden gem for anyone one who sweats under a hard hat. They absorb moisture, keep your head cooler by removing moisture which quickly evaporates, and eliminates sweat in the eyes by 98% while working outside in the summer sun. Well worth the money and I highly recommended them.

Stays nice and snug on my head. Used under motorcycle helmet. Helps keep sweat away from your eyebrows and eyes during scorching days under a hot helmet. It also keeps the inside of your helmet fresher longer as it dissipates heat and moisture. Keeps your head cooler on these hot summer days. I'm quite pleased with this product.

I have not had a chance to wear this, as I use them mostly during the Summer months. However, I have tried it on and it is fabulous. I bought some cheaper ones (a 3 pack) and they are crap. This one is very comfortable, the sweatband is amazing and it does not show (as claimed by others), because there is plenty of material to cover it. I am excited to wear it and I am looking to buy another pattern if the price is equivalent.

Just received it and was happy to try it. To my surprise there is a thick 2 inches wide elastic band inside the sweat band. It is stretchy but being of a good quality, it is very stiff and does not stretch much. Making it very uncomfortable for someone like me who have a bigger head than your average person. So after less than 5 minutes of wearing it, I had a splitting head ache and had to remove the hat. The rubber band was exerting too much pressure on my skull. To fix it I took my wife's seam ripper and proceed to remove the elastic band. With a seam ripper it is an easy job. After that this sweat band is very comfortable and you can adjust it easily with the sweat band tails. Like any normal bandanas.Thumbs up if this review helped you.

This is my go to sweat band for the summer while working outside in the hot sun. Working in the hot sun around hot machines the sweat pours down my head and into my eyes. I really can't stand the burning sensation and had made some of my own sweat bands out of shirts. Worked well but felt it looked rather tacky, so I started to search for something similar to my home made bandanna. Came across these dew caps and bought one to try it out. Wow! It was the answer I have been looking for. It soaked up my sweat and no more painful sweat running into my eyes. I wear this dew cap all the time. I loved it so much, I wanted to buy more. I have a little issue with Amazon though. I wanted to buy more and came back to Amazon a week later. The price of the dew cap went up 7 bucks! I was not happy especially considering I was going to buy 4 more. After a lame explanation from Amazon, I went to check out the American Amazon because sometimes items will ship to Canada. Luck was in my favor because even with exchange rate and import charge was still way less than what the Canadian site would have cost. I am totally thrilled with the product and if I could change something in the design from Ergodyne, I would make the center flap longer so that when the cap is tied, the flap that runs down the back of the neck would actually cover the elastic band that keeps it on my head and it would also cover the back of the neck better. But as a sweat band, I love it. I also like that it comes in many color patterns, I bought the lime for high visibility and the camo one for stuff around the house. Works very well and I would highly recommend this to anyone who is tired of getting sweat in their eyes.

Fits well even on a large head. What you can't tell from the photo is that around the back part, on the inside of the rag, there is a fairly wide elastic band that helps to keep it in place. The band attaches on the sides, and the inside of the front part of the rag is an absorbent material that really collects perspiration well. The strips at the back are somewhat superfluous, more for making it look like a rag rather than performing any pragmatic purpose. I suppose they collect some perspiration from the back of one's neck. But the rag stays on your head by means of the fairly wide elastic band, not the tie strings. All the various designs fit the same. I find they breathe well, and there's no problem with them moving around or falling off. I wish the white in this design was more white than it is. It's more of a bluish gray. But then again, I'm not American, so it's no Betsy Ross to me. The rag is a basic wash and air dry for care, so it is simple to look after. The stitching is good quality, so it is built to last.

Yesterday was the first time I used this dew rag under my cycling helmet. It was a warm sunny and humid spring day here in Louisiana, a perfect day to test this item. Since I have very short hair I wanted a headpiece that would 1) protect my scalp from the sun and 2) keep the perspiration from running down my head and face. 3) be comfortable and not too hot. This dew rag performed all three tasks superbly. besides fitting well (I'm a large 23 1/4" hat size) it absorbed perspiration like a champ, and only got moderately moist in the process, effectively wicking away the moisture and keeping my head cool and dry as the moisture evaporated. Other then when I first put it on, I didn't even notice it under my helmet. It also made my helmet more comfortable as the sweat-band part of this cap acted as extra cushioning. I will be wearing this headpiece as the Southern sun gets hotter and the humidity here gets higher. One word of advice, if the sun is an issue where you live, I think a lighter colored version would be better. That's why I chose the camo color.UPDATE: It's now September 21 and I've been using this little gem all summer. It still fits and looks like brand new, and is a regular part of my cycling kit for all rides. Hardly a need to own more than one unless you don't like washing it right after use. If you need to wear this two or more days in a row, a quick wash wring-out and hang drying, and it's ready to go when you wake up.UPDATE: It's now April 2016, and I'm still wearing my original camo dew rage- almost 2 years and it's good as new. I now own three of these. Besides the camo version, I now have a stars-n-stripes, and day-glo yellow one too. These are so inexpensive now, why not get several. For warmer weather cycling these are all I wear. They're great.UPDATE: It's September 2016 and I just bought my 4th one. Now I have several colors/designs. For their reasonable price buying a few of these is a no-brainer.
