Castor beans are NOT regular garden vegetable variety.... In fact they are poisonous and deer proof often growing to over 2m in height. They look almost prehistoric. What I received were regular beans. Didn't realize this until they grew and of course this was beyond the 30 days to put in for a refund.

These were my first attempt to grow something from seed, planted and within 3-5 days I had sprouts, used a cheap led grow light from amazon in the end of winter, there were up to a foot within a month, and over that in 2, currently growing outside I have 5 plants I grew, the one in direct morning to afternoon sun is the largest, the others are small, but still nice to see. 3 are planted in the ground and the largest is in a good sized pot. they don't require a lot of care when planted, I water occasionally. high wind will shred the leaves very easily. would buy again

No instructions on planting. Not even any label telling me what they were. I had to look at my order to even remember what they were called lol
