I purchased this due to the larger water capacity. Seems pretty sturdy. It was 5 dollars cheaper then the one that lasted one winter.So far it's kept my dogs water unfrozen in -16F temps. The red color helps me find it after my dog rips it off of the porch and buries it in the snow.Time will tell of it lasts but so far it's doing great.

Worth every penny in convenience. Perfect size for chickens these are long lasting and easy to clean. We have purchased this in the past they have been reliable. A must have in freezing weather. I like the red color.

Really excellent for winter time. We had a ton of snow this year and my chickens always had water and no matter how much snow we got, up to 26” a few times, the water dish stayed thawed and not only my birds used it, but my cats and my dog, as well. Easy to see and easy to keep clean with a decent length cord, it was worth the money. I’ve put it away until next year and I’m hoping it will last several years as it was an investment. My chickens immediately took to it, even with their other water dishes still around the yard, but not in use, and they loved it when I put hot water in it on very cold days as I think the warm water warmed them through and through. It got tons of use and the red color made it easy to find for both animals and owners alike. It needed cleaning about once or twice weekly.

This product came to me slightly damaged-plastic bottom had a grommet broken off. No big deal.Improvement idea-come up with a dome cover with holes for chicken head size holes so the chicken can still drink but cannot defecate into the bowl.Pop the cover off to refill...baddaboom baddabing!

Didnt even last 3 months and uts shorting out.I have it on a dry platform in a covered areanso it wont get wet. It heats up and then blows the breaker.

Taking the worry out of getting down to the coop to knock the ice out of the water bowl is amazing. The water is not frozen but not warm either.Perfect purchase!
