I have a 24 year old mercury 25 hp outboard. The prop was the original and admittedly had a few dings in it but not to bad in my opinion. I lent the boat out to someone not familiar with the shoals in the lake and the prop got the coupe de gras. Bought this new prop at a good price and was amazed at the speed I gained from the old original before its demise. The only concern I had was the plastic nut that holds the prop on without any type of cotter pin or lock washer. Been using it for some time now and the prop hasn’t fallen off yet but I always look at the nut to make sure it isn’t backing off. So far so good
