Resistant to humidity shifts and featuring a gorgeous, dark look, they have more sustain and add a unique note to the instrument’s voice. This genuine Fender Jazz Bass neck is crafted at our Ensenada, Mexico manufacturing facility. Featuring a comfortable "Modern C"-shaped profile and 9. 5"-radius maple fingerboard with 20 medium-jumbo frets, this neck was designed for pure playability. The synthetic bone nut is pre-slotted with "pilot" grooves for accurate spacing when filing the final string slots. The perfect way to give your J Bass authentic Fender feel, this replacement neck even sports our famous “spaghetti” logo on the headstock.

Did not fit without rerouting the neck pocket on the bass body. Heal of neck is tapered.

I bought this neck for a parts build and was pleasantly surprised by how good it is! The roasted maple finish looks stunning! I bought an Allparts Precision bass body and the neck slotted in to the pocket perfectly. Yes, there is some work that needs to be done - the holes for the machine heads are smaller than those on the Fender Player series necks and had to be opened slightly, and you will also need to drill holes for the retaining plates at the back. The nut will also require filing as it only comes with guide slots, but a cheap set of nut files sorted this out easily enough. Be prepared to shim the neck too... I would expect this with any neck though. Also, be aware that Fender necks seem to come with the truss rod loosened right off, so be careful when putting the strings on as you are likely to get a fair amount of bow in the neck and will need to adjust it accordingly. All in all, I am extremely happy with this neck - the fret feel great, no sharp edges or high spots and the 'Modern C' profile feels great to play!

Other than the roasted maple looking good it was a lot of work to install. There’s only 4 pilot holes on the neck for the body. The headstock holes were too small for my original mim stock bushings to fit in nor did my new hipshot HB-7 bushings fit which were slightly smaller so I had to file the holes bigger. The nut has 4 pilot holes so you must file the nut which is very easy to mess up. I had to make 16 pilot holes for my tuners on the back of the neck and 1 on the front for the string retainer. Also the neck doesn't fit as snug in the pocket as my original p bass neck but maybe that’s because I put it on a p bass body. Also mine needs a shim in between the neck and body. For this price a neck shouldn’t need all that extra work. Truss rod needed adjustment but that was expected. The frets feel nice and the finish is nice. Just be prepared to have skills or take it to a Luther.

A truly pleasant surprise, incredibly well built and nice neck, very nice wood and finish.I was prepared to put some work into the frets but this neck was perfectly straight and had a very nice factory fret job, the nut needs some work and filing but I already knew that.Overall, a very nice neck with a lovely satin feel and I can really recommend it.
