I keep contemplating back and forth whether or not Darker or Freed is my favourite of the three. Love the book. This story is more about the love story and Christian's past and it doesn't have As Much of a focus on the contract negotiations and that stuff. I can't wait for the movie. This version of the novel includes the original version of the story (from what I can tell so far) but it also includes exclusive Behind-the-scene photos of the FSD movie and also includes a small snippet of the FSD story in Christian's POV - I hope E L James does publish this!

This series should have stopped at book one. This novel has the feel that it is written for teenagers - very simplistic words, sentences, paragraphs. It is an "easy read" and took me just an hour to finish. Everyone talks about how raunchy this series is - I think it could have used a bit more spice, as I found it pretty tame! But if you're looking to step outside of the box a little bit, give this book a try. It is appropriate for readers of all levels (though the content is not appropriate for children).

This has to be my favourite in the series. The depth of love that Christian feels for Ana is quite touching. The unravelling of Christian had me in tears. I was bawling. I keep rereading this book. I highly recommend this.I was a huge critic of the FIFTY SHADES series. I was compelled to read it because I did not like to criticize what I have not read. After reading the first book I purchased the 2nd immediately and the 3rd. I am captivated by Christian and Ana's love story.

I enjoyed reading this book and it is a good follow up to the first book. This book clearly shows how these two are in love and how she accepts him for who he is and still loves him. I found that this book was hard to put down and I read chapter after chapter. It was a quick and easy read. The only thing that I don't like about this book is some of the immature writing but other then that its a good love story to read!

I really enjoyed the 50 shades trilogy........the writing isn't the best, however once you get over the whole sex thing, the story is actually good; I found it was a good love story.....I hope she does follow up books, however just improve on the writing......I hope she does write more about Christian and Ana........and I think all ladies need a "Christian" in their lives =)

I thoroughly enjoyed this Trilogy. Great love story with Dom and Sub information I did not know about. Description of grief brought tears to my eyes because of my loss of a loved one. This trilogy is very erotic but well written and I believe couples could learn about loving relationships. Though I am not familiar with the music, I definitely intend to invest in the music mentioned for my own listening pleasure.

I wasn't sure whether to buy this trilogy. I love twilight and was on the fence about reading Fifty Shades because I wasn't sure about the S&M aspect.However....people recommended it to me on a few occasions so I gave the books a chance. The first book is poorly written and takes a few chapters to get into but then I was hooked. The first book was the best of the three, book 2 (Darker) went downhill.I started finding that Ana was kind of a pansy and weakling by book 2. She doesn't ever stand up for herself and Christian uses sex to control her and silence her often times. I was getting frustrated that she wouldn't speak up for herself. She also tends to have very repetitive dialogue and is not a very interesting or dynamic character.Honestly - the most interesting character in the book was Ana's sub-conscience. She made me smile a few times. The second most interesting is Kate Kavanagh (her best friend/roommate).Ana was sort of hard to root for and identify with. How many times can she say "Please" to Christian during sex? And how can she always reach the grand finale just when he tells her to? It was a little overdone. It is a fun, summer read. By book 3 it seems like the author is just tying up loose ends and trying too hard to make everything a happy ending and it drags on at times.
