The first cover lasted a long time, longer than it should’ve. My wife wanted to start reading the Kindle again and I wanted to get a new case. I was really glad it was still available it’s an older Kindle and it’s a great one and the new case makes it look completely brand new. This is a cover that is more of a case. It is a really great quality product that is sturdy sharp looking and feels durable. Thank you. Other products could learn by following this design and build ethic.

My Paperwhite fit this case perfectly. That was the only good news. Unfortunately after less than 3 months the "hinge" started to crack and then the entire magnetic assembly came right off! Plastic and magnetic bar. This happened with my original leather Paperwhite case, but I used it for 9 years when this happened, not THREE MONTHS!EDIT: I have attempted to get a refund or exchange from Fintie. They responded to my first email, but I haven't heard anything since after three more attempts. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! THEY SOLD ME A PIECE OF JUNK AND WON'T GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.

I'm on my second of these cases for my Kindle. I bought the second one because my dog ate my first (there are tooth marks on my Kindle but it still works). I really like the quality of this case. I had the first one for a couple of years and it was still in great shape until the dog incident. A nice detail is that the inside is a nice soft non slip material so that when I'm reading on my Kindle, it can rest it on my legs when I have my knees up, and it won't slide.When I first bought it, I didn't even know the Kindle could be put in sleep mode with a magnet. It was a surprise when I put the case on. It works very well.

The Finite EKD0021 PU Leather Cover CaseI purchased this for my Kindle Paperwhite, and it fits perfectly fine and it seems to be doing a good job protecting my Kindle from anything and everything in the black hole that is my purse.Don’t expect anything fancy — it’s a hard plastic case with a not-so-great leather pattern. I have the black case and it looks alright on. It’s definitely not as nice at the ‘real’ Kindle cases, but I didn’t expect it to be for $16. The main thing is that it’s sturdy, which it is. The magnet closes rather tight and it hasn’t randomly opened up in my purse while walking around.Overall, it’s been a good case. I couldn’t justify spending $36 on the Kindle brand case, so this is a good alternative. Especially if you’re just looking for something that will keep your Kindle safe.Would I buy it again? Probably (if I were to get a new kindle — if it breaks, then obviously NO). Is it my favourite thing? Nope, but it does the trick. Knocking off a star for the cheap leather look though. They could have at least TRIED to make it look half-decent.

It fits snuggly, absolutely perfectly, as if the Kindle was born with it. It makes the Kindle look really cool. I got the "Z-Map White" design. I searched long and hard for a vegan, i.e. non-leather Kindle case. Before ordering I emailed the manufacturer Fintie to make sure there weren't any animal products in it. They replied within 2 hours saying "Our products are made of PU (synthetic) leather or vegan leather. It is a durable material used for the feel of leather but not include the any actual animal leather, and should sustain from normal use." So I ordered it. It does not have any of that strong odour of synthetic, rubber or plastic. There is zero smell to it actually, so I was pleased about that. The magnetic clasp for auto sleep/wake works flawlessly and is so handy. I was, however, surprised to see that the map design on the one delivered to me, was different than the one shown in all the product photos on Amazon. I was of course expecting it to be exactly like advertised (Front: with the words "World Classic" and "Septentrio" and Back: "Via Vee World") but it was different, and even included an ancient scroll on the front side. Lucky for Amazon and Fintie, turns out I actually like the 'incorrect' design way better :-) As far as protection, it feels good and sturdy. I do wonder however how long the hinge will last, hope it won't get all flimsy and start tearing down the road, but so far so good and just have to not be careless with it and it should be fine. All in all I totally love it!

I had a second generation kindle and never had a case for it so after 7 years, I dropped it, it broke and I needed to purchase my new paper white and realized with the drop that having a case on it was a necessity. I found this one, loved the design and based on price and reviews, purchased it. It fits really well, the interior of the flap 'felt' covering is nice and soft for the front of the kindle and lastly, it is really light to hold. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase and would purchase again.

Gorgeous!!! I LOVE IT!!! It's soooo me!!! Feels good in the hand and VERY pleasing to the eye! It's light-weight, not much bigger than the Kindle, yet, looks like it would protect my brand new Kindle Paperwhite 6 perfectly!!! The design on the case looks even better in person. It looks 3D like it's real animal fur. Of course it isn't… but the illusion is there. It looks like a hard plastic or some other man-made material. It's nicely textured. Looks really expensive! I'm just hoping the colors don't fade. I can say that I am VERY pleased with this purchase… great price, beautiful product, and EXCELLENT delivery! It arrived one day EARLY!!! YAY!!!! :-)

Fits my Kindle Paperwhite like a glove, doesn't make it much larger, very slim case. Auto turns off and on the screen when I open the cover which is very convenient. Looks very cute, I like the print choices, got the black and white damask pattern. Did have a strong plastic smell, but after a day and a half of off gassing the smell is gone. Would recommend and would buy again. Only had for three days so can't attest for durability yet, but it appears durable enough.

For reading with my Kindle Paperwhite at home, I prefer using it without a cover, but I put it in my purse when going to appointments, events, and when traveling. Therefore, I needed a cover so it wouldn't get scratched, but wanted something very minimal. I wanted very thin and lightweight. This cover was described as "Thinnest and Lightest," and I agree. It seems almost featherweight and adds very, very little bulk, but on a device that only weighs about 7 ounces itself, I can tell that it adds just a little bit of weight. I've been leaving it in the cover even at home, however, because I'm afraid if I remove and replace it too many times, it might loosen or break. It's a very simple and attractive cover, which is what I wanted. The Paperwhite just snaps into the little plastic "tray" which holds it securely. The front and back covers are held closed magnetically, and somehow wake the Kindle when it's opened and put it to sleep when it's closed. Even though the cover is happily very thin, I think it would offer some basic level of protection if the device was dropped. I ordered the pink, which is a calm shade. The outside of the cover is firm and has a small leather-like grain, and the inside of the front cover is soft microfiber in charcoal gray. The cover does give you the impression that you're holding a real book, and the front cover will fold completely around to the back for holding it in one hand. I recommend this cover especially for those like me who'd prefer no cover or a very minimal one, but want some protection for the Kindle. This cover is even better than I expected! The price was excellent as well.A note of caution if ordering: For some reason, amazon has listed four entirely different covers on the same product page, and all the reviews for the different covers are mixed together, which is confusing. This review is for the SmartShell "Thinnest and Lightest" cover only. I wish amazon would do separate product pages and especially separate reviews for entirely different products.
