Odd why some air inflation tools doesn't come with this connector. Well, glad to be able to order this on AMZ. It's a simple product and it just works.

Oct 3, 2024: Initial review--------------------------------I actually bought 2 of these within a day of each other because the first one broke as I was fitting the 8v1 brass fitting onto a Milton 8v1 Recapper M-Style plug. I had everything all teflon'd up and thought I should tighten it with a couple of wrenches. Upon tightening, the brass fitting on the air chuck seemed loose. I took the recapper plug off and saw that the brass fitting was sheared off half way around the neck on the last 2 threads! The 8v1 brass fitting is too soft and thin for normal tightening. I fitted another 8v1 plug on another universal air chuck and that one was tightened really tight but it never broke like this one did. I also noticed that the 8v1 threads screwed in a tad loose into the 8v1 recapper plug. Hence, teflon tape was applied prior to screwing in the recapper plug. The second one I received, the quality was the same. The 8v1 brass end fitted into the recapper plug nicely - not as loose as the first one. Instead of using teflon tape, I used the Vixen Horns High Pressure Thread Sealant that I used on another project. That stuff works great but the purple sealant takes several days to cure and harden. I put the sealant onto the brass threads of the air chuck and screwed the recapper plug on. I did not use a pair of wrenches to tighten the plug this time and just tighten it up with my fingers. Doesn't have to be super tight. As I'm doing this review, I'm just waiting for the sealant to completely cure and solidify. So, I'll provide the review of how the air chuck's performance in a long term review afterwards. As I mentioned earlier, this air chuck's quality is really good other than the soft thin brass 8v1 fitting on the other end. I've read a lot of the negative reviews about this air chuck in regards to the 8v1 threads doesn't fit into a normal 1/4" female NPT receiver for an air compressor. Well, the 8v1-32 is another name for a 0.305-inch with 32TPI Schrader valve. This IS NOT part of the MNPT (male national pipe thread) standards. Think about it - 1/4" MNPT dimensions are 13.7mm (0.54") at the pitch and 18TPI. 8v1 threads are smaller and finer. Of course this air chuck don't fit into a 1/4" or a 1/16" NPT female air adapter of any kind. You need an 8v1 adapter to fit any air compressor with NPT standards! The air chuck's head is a beauty. I love the fact that the lever is popped up in the open position and pressed down to lock onto a Schrader valve. My other universal bike air chuck head is the reverse and it is hard to push the lever up while pressing the chuck head to press against a Shrader valve. I tried it on a mountain bike tube with Schrader valve and it really locks onto the stem! I tried to pull the air chuck off and it's pretty secure! Other negative reviews stated that the air chuck is hard to press onto a Schrader valve. I press in the air chuck onto both the bike tube and a car tire Schrader valve stem and it was easy and snug on lock. The chuck's head has a spring so that when pressed and locked, there is no air leaks. On release of the lever by popping it upwards, there is a hiss of air but once the chuck head is sprung out or lifted off the valve, no air leaks. The amount of air loss on release is maybe 0.1-0.3 psi depending on how long your hand is still pressing the air chuck's head against the Schrader valve core. After using this on my car's tire, I have no problem using this air chuck. This will be my go-to air chuck for all Schrader valve stems.I will leave this review open for long term assessment. For now, I would rate this a 4.8 stars out of 5. Again, I knocked off a bit and rounded my ratings downward. So, 4-stars for an honest and extra bit of review that may help others in the past, present, and future on adapting this air chuck for use with any air compressor or floor pump.

The “quick connect” end is very hard to use but I had thought the other end would have a Schrader type valve in it.

This extension works really well with my small compressor. I’m using my compressor with my motorcycle but valves are hard to reach because I’m of my wheel and not enough space. With this extension it makes it a lot better to use and it’s not leaking at all. Rubber seal seems good and product is sturdy. Thank you.
