The issue with the old forward and reverse gear if that children fight over driving the car where kids climb over the door, knocking the gear lever instead of opening the door and stepping into the seat. Will now need to insure that this fighting over who will be driving the car will need to be formalized to avoid another broken gear shift.

I bought this switch to go on my son's bumper car as a replacement. Removing and putting the new switch in was an easy process and the new switch snapped in easily. The only thing I didn't like was when in forward position the bumper car runs non stop. Other than that the switch works as it should!
