Worked great for about 3 weeks, then started cutting and in and out. Unfortunate. Had high hopes, especially since the price was adequate.

So many speakers these days are powered, and for those of us with passive speakers, we need amplifiers. This little unit is very basic, and it’s nothing special. It’s not aiming to keep up with advancing technology, and it seems to be aimed at the more retro-market of passive speaker owners. It doesn’t add any unwanted noise at reasonable levels, but it may start to hum if you push the limits of the unit. This works best on small to medium size speakers, and I use it my “man cave” to power my music while I work or do hobbies. It works fine for my purposes. It’s dead simple with just a volume, bass and treble dials. It’d be nice if they included some of the adapters for the back cables (like banana plugs).I’m happy with this unit.

So far so good. Poweers my 120v bookshelf speakers no problem. And I like how small and sleek looking it is

This little budget oriented utility amplifier is compact and easily tucked away behind speakers on a shelf. It is an older device (5-6 years) that has a very basic functional design that suits entry level or other non-main system purposes. I use one of these to driving some older speakers in a spare room in the house, or a pair of speakers out in the garage. It has just two input choices: RCA and Bluetooth. But it includes a much older Bluetooth chip without the latest higher fidelity options so I only use BT in a pinch when nothing else is available. I connect a Chromecast Audio or WiiM Mini device to provide WiFi source music for it.The amp has good finish and connectors. It supplies reasonable power output into my vintage acoustic suspension speakers (Boston A40) and I get excellent fidelity from this little amp, as long as I don't drive it super hard. It runs cool at those moderate sound levels. It produces no pops , clicks or static when turning on or off or adjusting the controls. My issues with it:The small control knobs turn smoothly but the tone controls lack a center detent, and the volume knob would be improved if it was a little larger or had a contrasty colour. Its compactness makes the front panel cramped, but that’s kind of inevitable.
