I replaced a knockoff that I had purchased somewhere else. It died so I figured it was a great time to upgrade.The sound is great when connected to a pair of Klipsh bookshelf speakers and a Mirage active subwoofer.I especially like that the received doesn't autoconnect to the last Bluetooth device it was connected to. Makes it a much more user friendly device, even for my 8 year old son.Will most likely buy another one.

Conundrum:My room measures 18 ft x 12 ft and houses a 55-inch Sony LED TV. To elevate my sound experience, I want to add two speakers and a subwoofer or a soundbar. While I don’t claim to be an audiophile, I value good sound quality and want the best setup within my budget.The Contenders1. There's no switch to turn off the Bluetooth. One of my neighbours keeps connecting to it and I can't prevent it. I really like this thing otherwise, it's a real bummer

The build quality of this amp is fantastic. This is a 2.1 stereo, Class D amplifier with a separate powered or passive sub output. It uses a Texas Instruments TPA3116D2 chip and is rated at 50W per channel. The subwoofer output has a built in adjustable crossover and separate volume control.The fit, finish and feel of this mini amp is excellent. The back has binding posts for speaker connections and gold plated RCA jacks for line level inputs and outputs. The amplifier is powered by a separate 24V 4.5 Amp power adapter.Controls include, main volume, sub volume, sub crossover frequency, bass and treble. The blue too pairing is always on and the range is very good due to the large antenna.I am using this amp with a pair of NHT Super Zero Speakers and Polk PSW111 subwoofer. Sound quality is good for such a small amplifier. The noise floor level of the amp is very low and the sound quality is excellent at low to moderate volumes. When you really try to push this amplifier you can hear some audible distortion and clipping. There are no markings on the sub out so you have to adjust the output by ear.Overall I am really impressed by this Fosi BT30D mini amplifier. It's pretty versatile and sounds great for a $100 amplifer. Fosi does make a PRO Version of this amp. The Pro version sounds even better but is also larger and more expensive.The only downfall of this amplifier is the Always On Bluetooth and Large Bluetooth antenna. The bluetooth range is great however if you live in an apartment or neighborhood with tightly spaced housing your neighbor could connect to the amplifier and hijack your speakers if you leave the power on.I would recommend this amplifier and would order it again.
