What a beautiful little amplifier! Modestly priced and nicely made. And its power output rating seems fairly accurate; certainly it has more than enough sound for computer speakers or bookshelf speakers. Because it is a power amplifier without a preamp stage, there is only a volume control, no other adjustments, so I precede it with a graphic equalizer.

En mi caso, con altavoces de 6 ohmios, tiene potencia de sobra para un salón de 20 m2, para mí es suficiente no pasar el potenciómetro mas o menos del primer cuarto de su recorrido. La verdad, me ha sorprendido, los amplificadores tipo D tienen mala prensa entre algunos audiófilos, pero a mí, me ha parecido que tiene un sonido muy agradable. Muy buena relación calidad precio, por poner una pega, no parece tener protección antipop y si lo dejas encendido y lo activas directamente desde el interruptor de una regleta, por ejemplo, puedes escuchar ese temido pop que podría llegar a dañar tus altavoces.

Solid build quality, nice and compact, (other than the power adapter that's laptop sized).Even on a fairly low setting, it provides plenty of power to my outdoor speakers that have long cable runs from the stereo. Now I can have music on, indoors and out, with a fairly consistent volume level over the whole system.The main quibble I have is that there are no indications on the housing or on the power dial to indicate power range. This makes it hard to gauge how high the power output is, and how to replicate preferred levels in the future.The speaker terminals were a bit of a pain because the holes in the terminals aren't all aligned in the same direction, so threading the wires into them was a bit fiddly. Wire used is 16 gauge copper strand in-wall rated speaker wire.Connecting the input to the RCA Jack's required buying speaker-wire to RCA jack adapters.

I bought this expecting this to be just a run of the mill amp, nothing special.... boy was I wrong! I'm using this to drive studio reference monitors in my mixing room and I can't believe how great this little amp is!! It has great clarity, it doesn't add any colour to the audio which is great for getting a good mix. The amp is powerful and doesn't distort, and the one thing that I am the most surprised about... there is no noise present (test by turning up the amp volume without any audio playing.... no hum of buzz present through the open speakers)!!The physical size is smaller than expected (I see this as a good thing), and it has a well built chassis with good quality external components (toggle switch, volume knob/potentiometer, speaker connectors, etc). Very clean aesthetics which fits in nicely with all my expensive gear.This little amp has literally transformed my studio sound.. all that from a $50-ish amp!! Super great value. You can't go wrong with this!

This amplifier is so good that I ended up comparing it to a Pioneer A-40. The sound quality is very good, nice and smooth, detailed as well, without sounding smeared or distorted like some of the other small and cheap amplifiers on Amazon (Pyle 90W). I was tempted to try the Pyle 100W, however, its headroom and sound quality was so poor that I didn't want to bother. I'm using the Pyle to power some small Pioneer speakers with a 3" full-range, it's okay for use in the garage but vocals are smeared and the control over bass isn't very good.Moving to the TPA3116, which uses a TDA7498 amplifier IC and comes with an excellent power supply (19V, 4.74A) and this thing absolutely sings. With the current from the power supply, this amplifier has the meat, has the body, that you'd expect from a typical home amplifier. I turned it up on a center channel that has two mid-ranges and two tweeters at 4-ohms; it's an open baffle and is very difficult to drive.Well, the TPA3116 drove it just fine, the speaker sounded as it normally does with good impact, articulate details and an open spacious sound. I STILL haven't turned up the amplifier, but I haven't got it to clip yet and I was at over 100dB on this center channel. I'm very impressed, I'll be buying more of these for sure as I expand my SoundTouch setup.
