Bigger than I thought it would be but I didn't exactly measure so that's on me. I'm using it for a tanto but I'm sure it would be better for a full sized. Katana.Looks great. Thanks .

I ordered the 3 tier model of this FOXSMZZ Sword Display Stand for the top of my dresser. I have one demo katana (“Samurai” sword) that I wanted to display (my ‘live’ katanas are in storage) and, though I don’t own any wakizashis (short swords), I have 2 tantos (Japanese style knives) that are long enough in their sheaths to fit on this stand.By the looks of the bottom of the base, the stand is made of sturdy compressed wood (most likely, MDF) and has a nice semi-gloss black finish. Red felt strips are glued into the holder’s rests to protect whatever you display on them. The stand is very easy to put together but it IS A STAND. The kit doesn’t include anything that would make this capable of mounting on a wall as the headline says! If you don’t attach the base, you could probably glue the bottom cross bar to the stands and attach some picture frame hangers (the triangle loop kind) on the back of the stands to hang it on a wall. Otherwise, there are ones made specifically with wall mounts. If you’re looking for a moderately priced stand, though, I would recommend this one. It’s sturdy and looks good. Just don’t ask me to translate the Kanji on the front of the crossbar. 😉

Other than the War Between the States (American Civil War) cavalry saber that hangs on the wall above my desk, my collection of swords consists of several sabres and foils from my college fencing days in the 1960s. The stand will hold a four of them. I don't know how the stand could be mounted on a wall, but that's not important to me. The stand is not a great work of art, but it's not ugly. I have no idea what the letters on the front mean. The stand is one of the simplest things I've ever had to assemble. The picture I've included is in a temporary location, a windowsill. Besides three fencing weapons, I added a treasured walking stick, hand-made in Ukraine. I did this to suggest the stand is not limited to displaying Samurai swords.
