Product Description

Why Laser Safety?

Even at lower power output levels, it is possible to cause irreversible ocular injury from a single accidental exposure to a direct or reflected laser beam, depending on the wavelength, output and exposure duration. Laser safety can prevent damage to equipment as well. An important factor in determining damage potential is irradiance, the power per area, expressed in watt/cm2.

Daylight Transmission (VLT) and Color Vision

When we wear laser safety glasses, some wavelengths of the spectrum that would normally reach our eyes are filtered out. If we block light from the visible region, this inevitably changes our perception of our environment. First, the attenuation of transmission in the environment increases, causing a darkening effect—similar to the effect of sunglasses. Second, blocking certain wavelengths will change our perception of color.

These fit perfectly over my prescription glasses. You can wear them on their own. They have a good side protection. Definitely shut out blue light.

Definitely an asset if you have a UV printer or any UV light source that you’re working around on a regular basis. With the expanding arms, you can tailor the fit to your needs. Comes in a nice case with a cleaning cloth.

After 11 months of use my glass case somehow had the zipper pull apart and was no longer usable. I contact Freemascot to inquire how I would go about purchasing a new case within 1 hour they had contacted me requested my address and are sending me a free new case.Great glasses and customer service.Update: They went an additional distance and supplied me with a replacement frame and took the time to send pictures on how to change the lens and change the arms.This vendor has a great product as well as outstanding customer service.
