The skates feel strong but the grip tape peeled off in less than an hour of learning to ride them.

Well! That's great for kids but not for a seventy year old grandpa! My grandson is enjoying them.

I ride skateboards and rollerblades, so it seemed like these half-skateboard drift boards would be something that would be a natural evolution, and something fun to try riding on. I watched some videos on YouTube of people ripping around on these like crazy, and they looked super fun, so I had to give them a shot. I'll tell you, once you get it down, they're really quite fun, and when you manage to get in a good run it feels like it does when you catch a wave on a boogie board and ride it in to the shore.I can't stress enough just how steep the learning curve is; it is definitely not easy. Granted I'm in my late 40s, but still... It's not like I'm totally out of shape or unable to ride. I bunnyhop my bicycles, do DH runs at the ski resorts on my mountain bikes in the summer, and I ride long boards all the time. That being said, my 12-year-old also got quite frustrated and even threw in the towel, and it wasn't until I pressured him to keep trying that he finally got it down. While he can pretty much ride down the street on them, I however can only consistently get in short runs as I am still working it out.Overall, I think these are a pretty decent deal. They're not overly expensive and they seem to be competitively priced when compared to other similar riding platforms. If you're thinking of picking these up for a kid, I think they'll work out just fine. If you're thinking about picking these up for yourself as an adult, just keep in mind that there really is a steep learning curve, but you can do it; it's just probably not going to go quite as quickly as it will for a kid.

Die Freeskates sind überraschend schnell angekommen und ich bin sehr zufrieden damit, sie sind für Anfänger auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen. :)
