Replaced the Zama carb on my FS80 Stihl Trimmer that had gone bad due to Ethanol in the gas. Trimmer started and ran great after adjusting the carb. Look for a video for adjusting if you don't know how to do this. My only complaint is the original carb has 3 gaskets but only 2 are included. One between the carb and motor, a second between the carb and metal plate and a third between the metal plate and the plastic air filter/choke holder. I reused one of the old ones. The kit also does not include the grommets the fuel lines goes through at the fuel tank. Grommets are not shown in the pictures to the left but are shown and listed in the pictures when you scroll down. These grommets need to be changed when changing fuel lines or the tank can leak. Went to my Stihl dealer and purchased the grommets. The included spark plug is a Savior BPM7E. I couldn't find any cross reference for this plug. Will purchase the recommended plug per the manual to ensure the proper heat range etc.

This carb came with extra primer bulb and strainer with plenty of hose. Install was a breeze and my trimmer fired up with 3 pulls. Hasn't done that ever! Very happy with this carb. Hope it lasts,but for the price,if not, I'll buy another without question.

I went to Amazon looking for a rebuild kit for a Zama carburetor on my Stihl FS 80R string trimmer. What popped up was this Chinese knock-off carburetor complete with a new spark plug, fuel filter, fuel lines, air filters, gaskets, and spare primer bulbs...all for $17. I couldn't resist trying it out for that price.After receiving it and looking it over (it looks just like the Zama), I installed it with all of the accessories and fired the trimmer up. It ran great! The only thing I had to adjust was the idle speed. I've run through two tanks of gas now and it's stihl (pun intended) running like new.For less than the price of a Zama rebuild kit, you can just replace the whole nine yards every spring!

I planned to do a rebuild of the stock carb on my FS85 trimmer, as age had taken its toll causing lean running and hard starting. When I saw an entire carb with new gaskets, air filter, spare primer bulbs, fuel lines and grommets for such a low price I went for it. Pay attention to the gaskets when installing so as to not cover the pulse port up with the wrong gasket on the engine side. Install is simple, this carb comes with high and low speed mixture screws, as well as an idle stop screw. Starts easily with stock settings but I found it to be a bit on the rich side. I recommend tuning the slow speed screw first, listening for the cleanest idle and turn the idle stop screw to a low enough rpm to disengage the clutch (blades not turning at idle). Next tune the high speed screw at full throttle looking for the cleanest high rpm sound. I recommend tuning without the engine cover in place to ease access to the screws. Once set it works well, seems a great value for the money.

Exactly as advertised. It fit my Stihl FS80 perfectly and it runs great now. It only took about 30 mins to install. There are videos on YouTube to walk you through it of you've not done it before and aren't familiar with small engines.

Excellent quality product, easy to install, well packaged. I would buy this product before paying outrageous prices for OEM parts. I bought this carb kit for a Stihl FS85 that hadn’t ran in six years. A half hour in labor and this kit, weed trimmer runs like new.
