i have been using furman power conditioners for years and have always been satisified with there products. Splurged alittle bit more on this one to have a voltage output.

Use this in my jam hall. Like this so much, this is my second unit I'm adding. Pull out lights and meter reading are a nice touch. Would recommend buying if you're looking for high quality.

Excelente calidad, solo el medidor digital, indica mucho más voltaje de lo que en realidad llega.

Simple and fast reviewYou need to be aware the this conditioner has basic filtering as checked when opened up.It will quiet down a lot of ac noise and ac hum. However you still need to be aware that ground loopscan occur even when using balanced TRS and XLR's specially when using cheap Stratocaster single coil pickups. In your effects chain you need a noise gate to keep things down as the level of playing decreases or stops. In your effects chain a rack ( or small foot pedal) EQ is critical to remove the high AC line hiss that can creep up. I prefer a dual 15 band graphic eq as a basic element of your setup.I have a small rack based on a Digitech 2112 Tube Preamp/ FX ProcessorSo this conditioner is not their Pro series with more advanced filtering, all ports isolated from each other etc. Going from my basic Art rack power box this is much cleaner power.

I was kind of skeptical on the pull-out lights on the unit thinking it likely wouldn’t do much in the way of lighting my 8U rack; I was wrong. They work beautifully making this a great addition to my rack. I am very happy I went with this unit and not one of the lesser models. The LCD screen is also nice to have showing me the voltage in real-time. I am quite happy with my purchase. To be honest, I only purchased this unit for the empty space I would have had in my rack and it ended up being a necessary addition that I should have been considering early on in the build.I do have one question about the M-8Dx: does anyone know if I can plug this unit (with all 9 plugs/inputs filled) into my APC1500PFCLCD battery backup/surge protector or does it need to be plugged direct into the wall? At the moment I have it plugged into the APC (which is plugged into the wall outlet) and there doesn’t seem to be any issues but am concerned as to whether or not this is proper/safe to do? I have emailed numerous sellers on this “issue” and have not received a response just yet. I will update this section with the answer once it is given to me as I feel this is relatively important to know.

I couldn't find any remotely useful reviews of this online so here goes...I have a small shop and will be doing a lot of welding around big servers. I wanted a device to get rid of some of the high frequency transients that will be present on the input power going to my servers. Also, I always distrust anything that says "power filter." That could be anything. I tried taking it apart just to get a look at the guts, but they use very odd philips head screws that I couldn't get out. There are two pull out lights which are extremely silly. The lights themselves are old incandescent bulbs with the small Edison screw identical to what you would find in your grandmother's chandelier. The LED voltage display is slightly better than you-have-power or you-do-not-have-power. Don't expect precision measurements with that thing. Oh well..To test the "power filter" aspect of the unit, since I couldn't get it apart, I used an oscilloscope and signal generator. I tried injecting various signals into the live and neutral legs of the plug that goes to mains to see what happens. Even at 100 Hz square wave, you can easily see there's some capacitance at work because the leading edge of the squarewave is strongly clipped. There's no real amplitude attenuation at that frequency, but still good to see that there are real components inside instead of an empty box. As the frequency increases approximately 2-3 dB attenuation has kicked in just about 1 kHz. The attenuation continues to increase, as expected, as the frequency goes higher with the exception of a weird resonance right around 60 kHz. There's a definite spike in signal amplitude on both of the units I purchased right at 60 kHz, so I hope that's not a frequency you need to filter out because it quite effectively passes this straight on through. Otherwise this unit does as advertised, it very effectively squashes incoming transients, starting to kick in around 10 kHz.I did NOT test the MOV, but really who cares. MOVs are so cheap and ubiquitous that there's almost guaranteed to be on in there. Now please keep in mind that I did NOT test power to ground. I may do that at a later time, but as it stands that's not something the device claims to do.So there you have it. It attenuates a bit at 10 kHz, pretty much flatlines incoming signals at 100 kHz, and there's a weird resonance at 60 kHz so beware. And the lights are stupid.
