When it comes to aftermarket replacement parts before OEM, I know it can be hit and miss but this is a REAL miss. Replacement parts are all about material and precision measurements. In this case, two of the three parts totally missed. It looked right but wouldn't work at all. I used a caliper to measure it and sure enough it was too thick at multiple points causing the throttle trigger to get jammed. I measured it with a caliper and most of the body was a full 1 MM oversized when compared to the OEM part. That may not sound like a lot but if you want the throttle to work without getting jammed wide open, it matters a lot. Not only is such a problem annoying but it can be VERY dangerous when power equipment throttles get stuck in the open position. If I wasn't in a jam, I would have sent it back, but instead I had to spend nearly two hours sanding and reshaping the plastic. Then it turns out the bore for the trigger pin was too big. This means the pin is at risk of slipping out given the normal vibrations. Yes. I can wrap the handle with tape to keep the pin in, but it is just another indication of how poor to quality control is. Finally, the trigger hold does not firmly engage. Oh, and the little three position selector (Off, start, run) does not engage the off position very well. So, I guess all three out of three parts are problematic.

The throttle lever was 1/8 inch longer than the original one and wouldn’t fit in my TS420. The safety switch was broken otherwise it would have worked. The orange piece was in good condition and was the only thing that I needed for my saw.
