I was looking for a quality hose clamp plier because the previous one was an inexpensive budget plier that was so thin and had very little grip that it hurt my hand each time I used it. The moment I saw the picture of the gearwrench I knew this one was the type I was looking for. Right off the bat the beefy thickness of the plier caught my eye and and the handle had nice amount cushion for comfort when your having to apply a lot of pressure.It works really well with the nicely designed quick clamping heads that pivot.

Work great in a open space. But very hard to use I under the hood of today’s cars. I purchased to change out the radiator. I could only use them on one clamp.

I don't know hose clamps so really can't comment on whether this is good or not for its intended purpose. I bought it for a specific purpose and it would work great, but the clamp heads are solid/hard metal -- I was hoping they were softer rubber to grab and hold without marring the surface. Won't work for that, but the quality is clearly there so I expect if you're using it for what its made for, its great!
