Had to Do the same job on 2 vehicles in a week. First one I used regular pliers and took forever, my hand cramped up, and it was a huge pain. 2nd job got these and got the job done in a fraction of the time, the ratcheting mechanism saved my hands from cramping, and made the job significantly easier. Worth every penny.

The clamps work acceptably for the price. The teeth to stop it on the smallest setting are off just a little bit so I have to wiggle the lever to get it to lock into place. No complaints other than that. The cups hold the clamp ends well.

After fist fighting hose band clamps for way too many years and I mean way too many years, I broke down and bought some true pliers. Proper tool for the job. If you're still fist fighting these clamps with needle nose, regular pliers or channel locks or whatever little freaking tool you use and CUSS and Slip Off and BANG your Knuckles then STOP. These GearwWrench pliers are of great quality, won't fit everywhere because sometimes clamps are in tighter places than others or clamps are bigger but you will throw all those other so-called pliers back in the tool box and get these out. Buy an assortment of these clamp pliers and make your life easy. These are NICE, All Around Size Pliers, Get Some.

Atn this price should have been better quality. I'm sure you can buy less expensive and get the exact same.It's okay but not a $42 plier

Only for very small diameter hose clamps. Can't squeeze regular size car water hose clamp. I just use regular pliers for a small ones. For me, as a professional mechanic, it is absolutely pointless tool in my box.
