Apart from this, even if you don’t have a PCIE to M2 NVME board now, it is also compatible with Raspberry Pi 5 and raspberry pi 5 official cooler, but a PCIE to M2 NVME boards like X1000, X1001, X1003. X1015, X1004 is recommended.

At first, I was delighted by the quality of the P579 steel case. It is stamped and folded from a sufficiently sturdy gauge of steel to resist flex. The case fits together well, and the holes align. There are no burrs on any edges, and the thick matte black finish is everything I could hope for.However, some minor issues soured my experience just a bit. The case arrived with the cover screwed on, the screws so tight that I feared the heads would strip out before they came loose. With channel-locks on screwdriver, I forced the screws out. I suspect paint choked the holes. Working the screws in and out a few times freed them up. If you encounter this problem, make sure your screwdriver is EXACTLY the right size for the screws.The small instruction card that comes with the case is all but useless, and the QR-code printed on the card is too small for my phone to read. Set the card aside and go straight to the Geekworm website. It was there that I discovered that the included screw & nut kit had extras of some parts, but was entirely missing the brass risers needed for the SSD hat.>>CORRECTION!Finally, the hole for the Pi-5's power button means you may need to mush your fingertip into the case to power up your computer. An flexible-membrane button over the hole would have been nice. But this is a small quibble; it shouldn't be a deal-breaker given the quality of what you get for the price. (I have fat fingers. I plan to glue an extinction onto my pi button so that it juts out beyond the case. Be careful if you try to do the same!)Conclusion: The P579 is a well made case at an affordable price. The good people at Geekworm in China were very responsive to my Emails. I LIKE a company that stands behind its products. For this reason, I give the P579 case four stars. (Thank you Cindy Ding!)

This is a good looking case. It fits with a NVMe SSD hat and drive, as well as the official active cooler. It's relatively quiet even when fan is in use. I would absolutely buy another one for my next Pi. Note, this is not ideal if you are planning to use GPIO pins. I am not mechanically inclined and have had some trouble with some cases. This one was straightforward to install and has worked perfectly since.

This product is far superior to the official case. It accommodates the geekworm NVMe adapter as well. It can accommodate the official cooler. It's well built out of solid metal. Looks great and is vented to allow a massive amount of passive cooling. It should be a fairly simple thing to just drop a fan on the top of this to help pull the air through. There's loads of events for it to get through. Assembly was relatively straightforward. It is fairly self-evident how it should be assembled. I really appreciate the standoffs that raise the pie above the case and still leave room for everything else that needs to go inside. I also love that the power switch is readily accessible and that the power light from the pi itself and the NVME adapter busy light are very visible.In summary, this case is an excellent price, it's well designed, looks great and I'm extremely happy to have it to replace the official case that I was given that simply couldn't accommodate the geekworm NVMe adapter and really didn't do what was needed

i use mine as a Software Defined Radio and have noticed lower noise levels while receiving signals using this solid steel case. Tough and rugged and easy to assemble. Lots of room inside for an add on ssd. Good fit for me. Like it a lot.

This case I bought to replace on that came in a kit from another company. I love the nice finish. The cooling is great and I have no issues using my active cooler which it fits along with my nvme hat. The space for the power button fits great. Putting it together was easy. Only downside is you have to take it apart to change out the nvme but that's only a few screws and more do to the hat then the case. Overall great case I would recommend to any of my friends. Which I have.

I've purchased a few of these. They are sturdy, well ventilated and have enough space inside above the Pi for expansion boards. I use these in all the PI's that I have POE adapter attached to. The screw and port cutout are perfectly and it feels like quality when ever I pick it up. I will keep buying these as I expand my PI5 collection.
